Actually the last time I heard anything about Cabalo he was in Africa so we can assume he's now dead.

I would have thought stolen by great apes would have been more likely given that it's Africa. If it had been the United States, gunshot wound, obviously with an outside chance of a failed back alley abortion if you happen to live in a red state.
