On my old HP computer (came with a windows 98 recovery cd) i was able to install a new hard drive (10gig) and it installed fine onto that drive so it should work for you... what kind of computers is it?Quote:

my copy of Windows is a recovery CD (ie came with a pre-built PC) so will it install OK on a completely new drive? I have formatted and installed previously with the old HDD and all was OK.
