And to finish this, i HAVE played the majority of the gamecube games out in the U.S., and quite frankly, i thought they were quite a homosexual attempt to by nintendo to get people to buy "childrens" games, that quite suprisingly, worked. So in a way, i thank nintendo for attempting to fix our already messed up society, but when i see how they make link look like a girl on wind waker, and for some reason seem to use a model of him with his balls outlined on his pants in soul calibur, i still see how lame there approach was. And so what if i have an xbox, if you want a start an argument about that, i'll just say i get boobs on DOA extreme beach volleyball, and you get nuts. let's see ya cram that down your throat.

Namco made SC2 and the desgin for Link.Nintendo gave them a basic figure to follow.

most ppl dont like gamecube bcuz...
a) the controllers r a lil odd at first (u have 2 admit PS2 controllers r pretty good)
b ) they dont have as many big titles, zelda, ssbros, & resident evil(which is also on ps)
c) and the big one, becuz of the type of graphics card the gamecube uses, most games are displayed w/ pixel shading which makes games look more like a cartoon, most ppl dont like that cuz it looks childish!!!
a ) I think PS2/Xbox controllers feel odd. Then I use them for 10 minutes and they feel just fine. It's just a matter of what you're used to.Quote:

b ) Agreed. What's there is great , but more "big" games never hurt. And please , can we get simultaneous multi-format releases ?
c ) Wtf :huh: ? I know Nintendo is quite fond of anti-aliasing to get rid of "jaggies" - leading to the N64's infamous "vaseline screen" - but I never thought it gave a "childish look". I agree PS2 games have a sharper , "harsher" look but I'm not sure that's a good thing. And AFAIK know developers can choose which functions (shading , reflections , ...) they use , so the pixel shading seems deliberate. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Actually, i like the GC. The controller was a little odd at first, but after an hour our so, you kinda realise that its actually a much better design than the xbox of ps2. You can actually hit all the buttons you need to without having to surgically re-arrange your hand. (Triangle-circle-r2 combo's on the ps2 drive me absolutely nuts!).
I think the thing about the gc's graphics is that it doesnt have as much texture ram as the xbox, so they tend to go simple to avoid slow-down. That in turn means that the graphics actually tend to look 'cleaner' than xbox graphics, which is ace by me. Means there's less in the way so i can actually play the game instead of having to try to squint through twenty layers of bump mapping and particle effects. :P
Mind you, my fav. games on the GC atm are BR : Primal Fury, Metroid, and Loz:ww, so i probably dont count. :P
