Very clever game, the trick is in changing the symbols each round. Most people don't notice this.
Like RF, I started to select the numbers directly and it was always wrong, but if I followed the rules, it was always right.
If you want to figure it out, select 3 numbers and notice that when you do the math the numbers you get will have the same symbol. So there is really only 1 answer.
