I heard yesterday that there was a premiere screening at Cannes.
Reportedly, members of the audience, including Quenten Tarrantino. gave it a 15 minute standing ovation. The longest in Cannes history.

The problem is that nobody wants to distribute the movie.
So it could be a while before we get to see it :smilie4:
I dare say that if MM wanted to release the film before the elections he could do so. The film would roll on the momentum it has gathered at Cannes (not to mention the residual clout of his Oscar).
Independent distributers will be queuing up. Film Four springs to mind. Moore's always had a good relationship with Channel 4.
Whatever happens in the US about its release, it can only damage Bush. If it is censored (or worse) banned Moore's point will have been proven. If it is released I can only see public opinion of the Bush camp worsening.
shut ur hole <_<Quote:

THIS MOVIE IS NOTHING MORE THAN LEFT-WING, LIBERAL, BUSH-HATING PROPAGANDA PERPETRATED BY THAT RED DIAPER DOPER BABY, COMMY BASTARD, MICHAEL MOORE.(PEICE OF SHIT)
IF ITS PROPAGANDA YOU WANT TO SEE JUST WATCH CNN OR CBS.
THE 'SELECTIVE NEWS NETWORKS'
DISNEYS PRETTY SMART, BECAUSE THIS FILM WILL COME BACK TO WHOEVER RELEASES IT AND BITE THEM IN THE ASS!!!
from what ive heard and read about this film, it should never have been allowed to be made, and those who made it , should be SHOT for treason.
Im no BUSH LOVER (xcept in the sexual sense) - but i sure as hell dont approve of this sort of film.
It just makes me mad that people can be so unamerican
i heard it was 20 minutes, isn't it ironic that Moore's point about the media twisting the truth is proved in a report about him?Quote:
