If you're having speed problems, check you have fowarded the needed ports in your firewall/router (if you have one).
@j4y3m...i am not on a network and don't have a router...haven't got a firewall, not even got the xp one switched on....any more thoughts?
Make sure the torrents you download are high seeded and that you don't have anything else taking up a lot of your bandwith, if your speeds are still slow you could try limiting your upload but I wouldn't recommend that unless you're going to be seeding for a long while after your download has finished.
how do i check that they are high seeded before i download? i do keep my upload rate low but to balance it out, i leave azureus open non stop so people can get stuff back. What else could take up bandwidth? i usually just do one download at a time plus uploads that are going out. Very rarely surf the net and dl at the same time
