Try to log in to the old one again, when it fails there is a link you can press which will give you an option to enter your email address (that you used to sign up with).

When you do that it will send you an email that tells you how to reset your password ;)

It's odd that you were even able to re-register with the same account name.

Implies your account was lost somehow.
