It's got it's own inbuilt, erm, stuff so that it doesn't require you to have any codecs on your machine to be able to play any video media.

It'll even play image files directly :01:

I have been using zoomplayer and the megacodecpack for no reason?

Manker, there's only one cahv in this thread and its not me :P

You need codecs for other things too, like converting media. I use VLC for most things but occasionally I'll need something else for gamma correction or whatever.

But for just playing movies and clips, VLC rawks :01:
