Torrentbits is very hard to signup at it but its meant to be very good.
Yeah you do need to tell BT what ports to use, you should be able to do it in the options or config box

Whichever Bit-torrent client you are using - bittornado, ABC, azeureus, bit comet or whatever - you will have to tell it which ports to use. Earlier you said this:Quote:

Also don't forget to forward the ports to your router.

It doesn't seem that bad, I have only been using it the last week or so.
I have never had any luck with torrentbits, the times I have managed to sign up they have deleted my account while I have been waiting to be allowed to download whtat I wanted
My experience with TorrentBits is weird. I signed up back in August, thought it kinda sucked and didn't download or upload a thing for nearly six weeks. When I seen Cheese's thread about the ratio I remembered about my account and surprisingly it was still active
Anyway, it's good if you know what you're looking for - a specific movie, for example. Since the download speeds are excellent.
BigDawg, that looks like the original bt client, I'd recommend updating to a newer one like bittornado(or az) cos they are very easy to configure and have a few extras, you can get bittornado from http://www.bittornado.com/ .:D
Thanks for all ur help guys! I didnt know there were other bitorrent clients to use. I will get bittornado, forward port 7001-7011, and tell bittornado to USE 7001-7011.
This is correct I think...Thanks!!!
Edit: Well I downloaded bittornado and its already downloading at like 15kbs without any ports...so that helped a lot! lol

Is that where I enter the ports?
I entered the ports and the download speed is at around 30kbs now...thats 15 more...does that sound right?
Yep, your speed will get even better, 30kb/ps is just under average but should climb a bit more if you've got a 576 connection.
I've got a 576 connection and I'm not happy with under 40 kb/ps but it all depends on what you're downloading.:)
