well that's what hardware profiles are for. you can make a new profile where it boots only the necessary services. at boot it will ask which profile to use, select gaming one, then play ur games slightly faster. :P


computer games also have to work on many different types of hardware (different cpus, video cards, etc.) so that requires a lot more code, and slower game play.
