If you have dual layer DVD Audio I think your gonna have to rip it if you dont have dual layer writer. I might suggest trying DrDivX as a starting point and then perhaps trying AG in XviD although if its only audio I guess youde use a regular mp3 ripper or something like lossless although Im not sure what program will shrink audio from DVD9 to DVD5 though...
Maybe if you were more specific about what music "DVD" it is, we could be of more assistance. (and understand more)

WHATS THE NAME OF THE DISC??
4.7Gigs ÷ 20songs = .235gigs per song. About 235megs each song? Wow!
I wonder if they are mp3s?
anyone one else think he means music videos instead of just the sound. i have plenty of music dvds and i normally back them up with dvd shrink. 230 megs a video sounds about right for mpeg2 video.
when you say there is only a few songs do you mean that there are only 3 or 4 vob files. if that is the case there are lots of songs held in each file. you can pick and choose which ones you like or backup the whole disk using dvd shrink.
it's a karaoke dvd
Try CloneDVD ;p
