In order to get most of your Sound card u need better Speakrs too, Sound card it self wont makes much diffrense.
the only reason i would see to get a new soundcard is to get 5.1 surround sound out of it. i have read in some pc magazines that new soundcards can make a large difference in the quality of your sound. it just depends on how good your onboard sound was to begin with.
sounds like yours is ok though. ;)

and its on board audio is fine
