And why would a monkey ever need this skill of pulling a lions ears and tail? It wouldn't, so this means that the monkey is doing this solely to entertain himself. I wonder if he thought, "Oh, two tiger cubs, this is going to be fun".

She was protecting her young. It's not uncommon for a primate to attack anything when the brood is threatened.

It was pretty funny but I think that the monkey took some nasty swipes :(
