Doesn't the added wear primarily have to do with the core voltage?
That's my impression of things anyway. Running a processor with an overclock but with stock or lower voltage shouldn't screw with the lifespan, at least not much. :unsure:

And i would make sure that the 12V rail of the power supply is good , i'd recommend it at 12V@22A if you are planning on overclocking that high....

Yeah...a lot of times you can get the 2500XP to a 3200XP with the same voltage...i just raised mine a tad.
