I didn&#39;t say I was. I said ".... current thinking is ....". There&#39;s very little I&#39;m sure about.

There is also current thinking that there is a gene which causes homosexuality. That would mean that homosexuality was hereditary. How would that work then.

Einstein&#39;s Theory of Relativity is currently the object of much debate.

As far as I know his Theory of Relititvity is universally accepted. ;)

Well, who am I to say whether he was wrong, or right?
All I know is that he was a freaking genius to do all that work without using computers.....
In this day and age, his research would probably require several hundreds of Cray computer hours, and cost at least a few &#036;100.000.000.
I can&#39;t help but wonder what he might have come up with next, if he didn&#39;t ran into Marilyn......

I wonder what he would of acomplidshed if he had todays technology.

What makes you think computers would have helped his work.

Do you think playing Doom would have helped him relax.

Are computers really that usefull in pure mathematics.

More importantly what could he have achieved had he been able to share ideas with the likes of Stephen Hawking.

I think it was Albert E who said, we are standing on the shoulders of giants (now you know where the name of the album came from). So even if we are not as tall as them we can see further. I paraphrase.

It is the minds and ideas which would have been of use to him. Not the technology.
