As for teh counting, normally the post count is just increased every time a post is made, and decreased when one is taken away.
But that might not be set right, so teh recount counts all posts in the db with your name as the poster and changes your post count to that.
Cheers Ross, I understand the first bit. The second bit is still confusing. Does that mean my post count would go down because some of my posts are no longer in the db or would it go up because the count would then include my lounge posts?
The instructions in admincp say it would go down.

My guess is that any posts that might not have been subtracted from your post count for whatever reason (like if a post was deleted and it never decreased post count).

I did that when I moved The Moderation to a paid for board. In an effort to keep everyone's post counts I manually inputted their post count on the new board. Took me about 3 hours.:huh:
