lol, we are NOT some new tracker that needs an influx of users! not only are we close to our userlimit but also, some of our members have invites where they can give to TRUSTED users!
sorry guys, but again - open registration ISN'T going to happen!

Re: The Light of TorrentBytes
Is torrentbytes going to be OPEN for registration in the near future, or NOT? Someone please confirm this!
-
Re: The Light of TorrentBytes
i'd trust the news posted on the sites front page over some random user who only just registered here :)
-
Re: The Light of TorrentBytes
I'm a TorrentBytes member and the forum moderators there still haven't released any new statements.

I'm a TB member and there isn't any news of TB opening signup soon or in the future. AFAIK, they usually lock up any topics related to queries on signups or invites in their forums so I don't think there would be any. The changes that were mentioned that I have noticed is only changes in the site codes like you can now review all your torrent comments and forum posts via links from one's profile.

Ahh just forget TB. Why sulk when you can access some decent private trackers and live of the content they offer?

It's been a while since anything major has changed here at Torrentbytes,
but the truth is that changes have been taking place in the back room.
Many months of planning have gone into solving a few major problems,
mainly those of hacked or hijacked accounts.
This may not seem like a huge problem to most of you,
but out of the 6,000+ accounts that have disappeared since sign-up closed,
nearly all of those are disabled hijacked accounts!
The main problem we have had is attempting to prevent this happening,
while at the same time, not making the site more difficult for honest members to use.
We would like to thank our members for their patience throughout this slow period,
and we would like to assure them that big changes are on the way.
Sign-ups will reopen in a couple of weeks, new features and improvements will soon follow.
But first we would like to announce the addition of a few new staff members.
BoB, DXC, Earwig, hoG, and VeryBadGUy are all promoted to Moderator.
A few more additions may take place in the next few weeks,
to accompany the new members, new features and improved security measures.
Thanks for staying with Tbytes and your continued support.
//Staff
Thanks for the info ;)

It's like a human being, if it stays isolated for too long it'll die...
It's always nice that the sites allow every once in a while, new users to signup ;)
I'll be watching it close now :)

Re: The Light of TorrentBytes

Re: The Light of TorrentBytes

Re: The Light of TorrentBytes
i'm a member of TB and its not likely they'll open up any time soon. probably they will close down until sometime near Christmas.

Re: The Light of TorrentBytes
Used a friends account the other day and there is nothing there you can't get elsewhere.......Don't loose any sleep over not being able to get in there..
-
Re: The Light of TorrentBytes
the forums there are good
-
Re: The Light of TorrentBytes
TB is currently busy looking to expand their FLS team, new staff members that can help with support, forum etc. Because of this, it seems very unlikely they will open sign up soon because they still have work to do, things to fix up, new staff to recruit etc. Remember, they only open up signup when they believe the time is right.

Re: The Light of TorrentBytes
They're right, there's nothing at torrentbytes you can't get elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, it's a great site, but just like most every site out there... it's nothing you can't do without.

Re: The Light of TorrentBytes
Most people just want it cuz it's rare. :D

Re: The Light of TorrentBytes
To my knowledge tb is OPEN SIGNUPS. Meaning you can get an account there if their userbase limit isnt full. Ive seen a few of my friends get accounts their recently. Ive never heard anything about the sites signups being closed. Not sure where you people get your info about it being closed from. I know for a while they were working on the use of proxies ect.. and trying to stop account hacking. But I still dont recall ever seeing any notice saying they werent allowing signups. For instance if their userbase is 42,000 and their max allows users is 42,000 you cant signup until other users gets purged from the system. Which does happen daily but there are so many people trying to signup that you would think it was closed.
I do know this much for a fact. TB will NEVER be an invite site. They always beleive in open signups. And dont think they would ever have it any other way.
