I will be signing up with LeaseWeb, amazing host, backed up with their 77Gbit Network, they are the new Number 1 Seedbox Company.
Unlimited?
Absolutely Not ! without a doubt , Leasweb is Great . But datatraffic in a server with 360 Euros price must be between 7-9 Terabyte Per month .
in Theory 1 Gbps = 1000 Mbps = 120 (125) MBps and It mean 120 Megabytes *3600 Seconds = near 440 Gigabyte Per Hour . :whistling
And you know , in only 1 Day , you can spend all of your month dataTraffic . I mean , near 10 Terabytes in only 1 Day . So , Be Very very Careful if you want to buy a GigaBit Server .

But It isn't Important because in these Public trackers you will not see about Ratio .
And many of seedbox users like me , bought a seedbox to grow their ratios in Private Trackers .

U will never get them speeds...first of all its shared and 100mbit only then on top of that it is linux and you will need to install torrentflux which will drain CPU. If its good seriously lemme know.;)

100Mbit shared and you hit 20Mbit, not that hard :P , if the server network is not oversold or on a reliable network, im sure you could get better speeds.

I'm norwegian, but i understand swedish. Alt1 and Alt1-Premium from Bahnhof are capped at 160GB/month, and i would say 95€/month for 160Gb is VERY expensive.
I have a dedibox from Times Network
Pay about 99$/month (89$ if you pay sign-on fee) for 2,4GHz P4, 1Gb ram, 2 x 80Gb and 3TB BW. Its a 100mbit port on what i belive is a 100mbit share connection.
I have had the server for only 2-3 weeks, and haven't had the time to test it properly. Best upload speed i've had while seeding is about 2,5-3mb/s, best download speed 5mb/s. Ping everage from norway (Telenor ISP) is 50-60ms, servers are located in Germany. Excellent service, quick respons on mail and they are also available on MSN/ICQ
From what i have heard/read they are resellers of NETDIRECT

Re: BT Dedicated Server/Seedbox
I can't really understand this seedbox thing. Why do anyone want to pay for a dedicated server to upload torrents? Why not just get a better connection at home?

That is a lot of times impossible for most people. If you can easily get an upstream of 10mbits at your house, consider yourself lucky.
-
Re: BT Dedicated Server/Seedbox
I used a shared server and managed to hit 1MB/s max which really sux. Which is why i assume shared servers never reach full speeds or even a fifth of the speed!!!

I don't really have a choise since my internet connection is included in the rent and we only got one isp to choose from (100mbit). So am I'm lucky or not? :P

Re: BT Dedicated Server/Seedbox
wow 100Mbit ISP, you are amazingly lucky

Re: BT Dedicated Server/Seedbox
Hi.
Im interested i getting a seedbox to help me with my ratio on a couple of sites. I dont have a bad ratio, but it would be nice with a buffer.
My problem is I have never done this before, so Im thinking I should start of easy. It would be great if I could upload about 1tb +/-. As far as the connection goes I think somewhere around 10mbit would work.
HD space is not so important. I think I can manage with 60-80gb.
Also, Id like it to be as cheap as possible...
Any suggestions?

Re: BT Dedicated Server/Seedbox
i dont understand why ppl are paying money to get seedbox unless ur designated uploader in certain site.
Boots ur ratio and trade it with upscale accout? LOL
Just seed as much as u can even ur speed is low!
or Just get a usenet acc ($13/month) forget about ratio torrent websites.
only $13 per month will maxed out ur connection 24/7/365

Usenet does not always have everything BT has...

I got a seedbox for a month so I could build a nice ratio and buffer on some good sites, especially with my slow upload.

Re: BT Dedicated Server/Seedbox
For linux , many users , use TorrentFlux or rTorrent .
For Windows , due to Remote Desktop , I easily install uTorrent (For Torrents) + emule (for P2P) + Rapget ( for Rapidshare) and finally a Xampp (For filezilla (a free ftp Server/Client) and PhP managing) . Then I use their WebUI and so , I don't need to use remote desktop every time ;)
