It probably is, because no one can control the files shared there. Unlike private trackers on torrents.
If you actually downloaded a virus from FastTrack then you must've been born with half a ballsack... I've used K-Lite for 5 years and not ONCE was I fucktarded enough to actually download what was OBVIOUSLY a virus. They didn't clutter my searches that much either, unless I was searching for software, which is easier to just download from the official website and look crack it manually.
Golden rules:
*.exe is potentially a virus, including .mp3.exe, .avi.exe in case your that fucking dumb.
*.bat is potentially dangerous, as it is executable and can do all kinds of shit, including reformatting your entire comp.

Anything under under 100 KB. Nobody would embed viruses into large files.
Also, if you mainly download music/movies/porn you got nothing to worry about.

E-mule, kazza, limewire? Guys, downloading on those p2p the best you can hope for is a 56k download speed. I mean even if you have a decent dsl connection you don't reach your connections potential. Torrents is the new generation. You can still download that one song from the album that you desire. You can just select the file to download and deselect the rest that you don't want. Easy as that.

I use limewire for certain things. Like if I only want one song or if I don't know the title of something and can go artist search. Other than that it is bittorrent all of the way.
Limewire & Ares are good. Thought torrenting is the best.
Kazaa's demise is what brought me to Bittorrent. Haven't used anything else since.

I havent used kazza in years, but i do use limewire to find a single song i am looking for, otherwise torrents are the best way to go.
