does anyone know how to use grammar in this thread? i could hardly read it
oops i didnt know that guyz here are expecting grammar from me. I am really sorry for that r4c00n, i will try and be a bit more grammatical next time around
Your grammar is fine, blacklisted. It's just that some people's are so terrible that they can barely be understood.
Anyways, a final clarification on the screens/IPs thing ... people can't trace your IP from images hosted in places like ImageShack, because they have private policies. They can't disclose your IP information. It's only the images that are hosted in private servers or in places where they allow you to track the IPs of the images you upload where your IP can get out.
thnks for clearing that out mate..
What did I missed? If U been scammed, I offer my "Condolences", M8, I just got scammed too, NOT by aaaa, but a different situation, Oh !! The Pain......
Shadowfire is right. You could also proxy when posting the images to imageshack if you are extra paranoid.
aaaa definately deserves a ban. Gloating about it, what a dumb ass.
what are mods waiting to kick aaaaa's ass ????...
"aaaa " has Trading Rep of 30 +...why in the Earth he wants to ruin his Rep by scamming you!! I 'm just wondering what did you give him in return to FTN acc when you traded with him!! By the way even if you wanna mention anything about trading and you prove your case to FTN's Mods they disable the account right away .

How does someone with 30rep pull off a scam like this?
He got most of his reps through giving free TTi invites.
haha i just repped shadowfire
Shhhh .... nobody will know. ;)
I knew this rep system will come back to bite people in the ass. just a matter of time. Thats why i will never trade with anyone here unless theyve been here for a while regardless of their rep pts.
Isn't post count just about the same as a rep system anyway? If someone is gonna be around this site long enough then they probably wouldn't want to get banned but there is always gonna be a few idiots out there no matter what.
Final advice: use your head. (If possible)
In a way it is. But i would think that those whove stayed here long enough and invested high enough no. of posts would be deterred from even committing a single scam since all those time wouldve just been a waste.
Posting many times and participation is definitely harder than just handing out a boatload of invites to get rep pts.
Do you believe in KARMA BlackListed? I certainly do, and here it is..
I just wanted to set the whole IP tracking by the Image hosting sites to rest. There are bits of the whole story in several posts. Here's how it works...
You sign up for an account on these sights using a username and password. That un and password is how they associate your account and your pictures with your computer. The only ip info that they store is temporary to allow you and the site to connect. However, you most likely have a dynamic IP address. This means that every time your computer or modem connects to the internet it acquires a new ip address (different from the one you used to upload). So, if you upload the screens then reacquire an ip, you will be untraceable. If you use dsl with a modem, then you can reset your ip very easily by either unplugging your phone line from the router or typing the subnet mask into the address bar of your browser to reset it manually. If you are on cable/ethernet then you can go into network connections, right click on your connection, and click "repair".
However, as mentioned in another post, the confidentiality agreement is binding and will not be breached to appease the admin of a private tracker. You need not worry about being banned from a tracker beacuse of uploading screenshots. It would be far more feasible to identify YOU by your signup information on the image hosting site than by your ip. However, publicly posting your e-mail which is ip independent IS risky.
so you handled the guy?
tell reality he'll know what to do...
At the moment i have put him on moderation...but I will wait for reality to make final decision on him!!!!
scamming is so sad.. really :(
