In all honesty, if my nine year old painted that I would put it on the fridge and say "that's beautiful".
However I wouldn't really mean it. I genuinely don't see how it's anything more than a badly painted picture of flowers.
Much as he may have tormented himself whilst doing it.
I was looking at that today, true story.
Another Dali, something about The Last Temptation of St Anthony if memory serves.
I've always thought that the edifice atop the third beast is reminiscent of a masonic symbol. I have no reason to say that, it's just a feeling.
Digital camera pictures > any painting.
Times a brazillion.
If digital cameras were around in the days of yore, we might actually know what folks from yesteryear looked like - instead of all this stylised bollocks.
Everyone worth noting was fat, and green in t'days of yore.
Fact.
Also, the naked fat girls always had pointy tits in the olden days, according to the paintings.
As if. Fat girls always have droopy, horrible tits. Everyone who has ever got pissed up and shagged a minger knows that.
Nevermind all the book-burning rampages Torquemada used to go on, he should have burnt all the shit art his cohorts could lay their hands on.
This is what we have in the living room. Sections of My Destiny by Marlene Healey. I really like this picture, it's my favourite abstract, I guess I like the geometric shapes...

Also, this one I like. "Tower of Babel" by Pieter Bruegel. This is hung up in the dining room.

Aside from those two, I also have a Dali in the bedroom and a Monet in the spare room, and Mrs. B has hung a couple of Van Goghs on the landing because we had some spare hooks we didn't know what to do with :dabs:

one of my favourite paintings, i particularly like the use of boobs and the colour blue.
Where are her nipples
nipples are so 2006 :snooty:
tits without nipples = buttocks :ghey:
Mulder never ceases to amaze with his encyclopedic access to tasteful pron.
I see few share my taste for the better Renaissance painters :(
I did like the Abstract above - I found it a very pleasing composition.
My current favorite is All is Vanity by C Allan Gilbert

Notice how he's holding a green lightsaber, like wot Luke Skywalker has, and how the women have the same kit on as Leia has in Return of the Jedi.
And Leia is Luke Skywallker's sister!!1½!

Wow, thats my kind of threads, i will post often in here, cause i really love art, thus far, have much respect for the artists, so each of the painting i will post will have the artist's name.
Also, most of the time you'll have to enlarge the painting to fully appreciate the image's beauty.

Remember those Magic Eye 3D books full of images.

Well, they wont let you use their software for creating these computer generated images..nevertheless :o I managed to lay my grimy little hands on a very handy software tool to create them at home.
This is a 3D image, that I made, from a painting of Tony Blair..I shall see if I can find the original..

..you will be able to find info on Magic Eye's website regarding how to view these images..this is the straight parallel eye way...
i hate those.
only because i've tried all my life and never seen a single one.
i see it, it looks like an eye.
see? everyone can see them but me
...approach your monitor..(or print the image) ... until your nose touches the screen..keep your eyes looking straight ahead now, and don't strain to "make it happen" now slowly withdraw your head from the monitor, keeping your eyes relaxed but looking straight ahead ...
Next, i give you a renaissance mystical Lady, enjoy :)
