Have been using Avast for 2 years now with no problem..
kaspersky is the best
my vote goes to NOD32 !!
Norton FTW! I use the Internet security package . Cant beat it .
I agree with UKMAN that AVG Free edition coupled with spybot and registry mechanic and ad-aware do an excellent job.
Spybot is free to download www.spybot.com and ad-aware also has a free version .
I think NOD32, because it's easy on your computer, it's fast, clean and effective. And those are pretty much the things i value!
I have been using Avast (along with spyware doctor and registry mechanic and ad-aware) and i must say is great!!
NOD 32 all the way
AVG antivirus I'd say: http://www.freeapps.co.uk/apps/avg
Or ubuntu linux: http://www.ubuntu.org - then you don't have to worry about viruses :)
Never used anything other than NAV.
I've been using Bit-Defender Plus V 10 and it is BY FAR the BEST anti-virus I have EVER USED! Give it a try... never had any problems since I installed that. :)
Nod32.
Nod32 yeah
It doesn't make the PC slow as other anti-viruses and has a very secure protection.
nod32 is very good
I think Anti-virus is over rated it's more than putting a virus scanner on your system but anyway I use SAVCE no problems but I'm not relying on it to protect me from all the bad guys... Layered security is the way to go!
The best antivirus - Avira Antivir
It is free, light and has the higher detection rates.

That's not smart. :ermm:
You seem to think you can only get virus if you execute something untrusted yourself. There are many ways your computer get infected unknowingly. You should google the info of the infection techniques.
Symantec Norton Antivirus. Not sure about NOD.
I would say AVG as well, I've been using the PRO version for 2 years now and have been extremely happy with it
Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Kaspersky for some years already :)
Nod32 for me.. Should i have problems with it. I use Kaspersky. NOD32 is less of a resource hog.
kaspersky is very good
nod32 has proven its worth for me..pretty awesome
One of the best AV i have ever known is of course the ON/OFF switch on your computer :D
I also realized that most "new" computers these days have NO A Drive which in fact is the most usual way to receive viruses - email is the next most obvious and then of course downloading suspect material (porn_best of.exe)
I think that with a cool head and sensible surfing, you can in fact survive - that together with NOT opening email from people you have never heard of - shut off the preview window in your email software for example - if you are suspicious, then send an email to your friend and ask if they sent you something.... better to be over-suspicious than risk crashing your HDD
Always have your AV software running to check incoming AND outgoing traffic!!! It takes a bit of System resource - but so what?
UKMan
avg .. light on resources too .. !
I like avg really much. Free Edition of course
NOD is the best
Mcafeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

AVG does me fine or if not that Symantec corporate edition managing my client machines... I hardly ever get hit with a major virus I'm firewalled down and I just have smart internet habits.... If sally emails me and wants me to click this link I fukin delete sally quick LOL.
for me pccillin is good, I ahve been using it for years
