Yes, IF we start from scratch, I belive it would not take long to fill the site up again, since back in the good ol' days, ppl loved the site so much because of the community, so I belive they will easily rejoin :wub:

About the tracker itself; it had great speeds and lots and lots of content. What I mean with lots of content, is that it had its own request-section with close to zero rules (except from the obvious ones like kiddiepr0n etc), so you could req seldom stuff, for others to up it! It was a great success, and we will definitively run the same system now.. ;)

When it comes to the URL, and not being .com, is that the domain torrentit.com is reserved to the previous owner.
Remember, this time, it's without him (read the PDF), so we had to use this domain instead.

Even though with a different domain, it's still real, I can confirm that 110%!

When I first saw the April 1st announcement on TPG I thought "pity that's not real" as like many others I thought of Tit as one of the best sites ever and sorely missed it.

I am sure it will become one of the great sites yet again. Well done to whoever conceived this idea and hope all goes well for you in the future.

read Vidde`s posts in this thread. As far as I remember , there was a 0day section , which wasn`t different or better than TB , revtt , ftn, and TL , and there was TTL . in addition to that , there was a request section, were you could find old divx rlses , non-scene stuff like own rips , etc. there were about 20-25k users . there were limited signups in addition to invites , thats all .

Getting back on topic, and moving away from personal flaming, Torrent It was unique because of it's ambience.

It probably offered much the same as every major 0day tracker, but this is not what made it different.

What made it different was its appeal. It had a unique piraty theme, along with piraty usergroups, and piraty phrases, such as 'swashbuckling' etc. The whole community was driven by this feel, backed up with a unique skin.

In fact, the skin was so popular that two seperate communities stole the skin from TiT for their own use, and ended up getting hacked to pieces by disgruntled members who took offense at the theft.

We are also talking about one of the very few communities that actually has a competant coder at the helm (pun intended), rather than a cut and paste merchant who rapes tbdev of all their mods. This means that the site code will be top notch, rather than a mishmash of mods.

Personally, i cannot wait for them to re-emerge. I had membership before, and will have it again. The owner may have changed, but it is still the same Torrent It i knew from over a year back, and will still have the same appeal.

I never had the chance to get into TorrentIT but i guess my luck just changed :)

I dont agree with thefox, partially at least as for me the most attractive feature was that it offered NOT-SCENE (unique) torrents.

Almost. Obviously the original owner cannot legally run a tracker as part of his punishment, but the original tracker had a number of people running it, so one of them is the new owner, and probably does not live in Holland, so would not be subject to BRIEN.

Wicked, hope you have the old database, i had built a nice ratio up when the unfortunate happened, look forward to the return of TiT!
