TL, community is nice but it's too big, and if any of you are going to say that ScT has too little users for good community, think again, users at ScT are much more active on forums and IRC, usually more active IRC users than TL, and TL community is too big, almost 200k users, come on
True, smaller and a nicer community is always better than a larger, boring one.
ScT has better pre-times, faster speeds, better community, and is more secure. The only reason TL is winning is theres 20x more users at tl.
Not really unless you took an equal sample size from the population. sct would always win due to the fact that sct has 3 times the amount of users ftn has, thus there would obviously be more votes for sct ;)Quote:

I think you would be surprised actually. I bet around 1/2 their users have a problem with either their pay2leech policy or have had a bad experience with staff.Quote:

sct is not P2L. Everyone has their own invented definition of p2l. p2l = obliged to pay smth in order to leech. Thats the case in Sct? Of course not. But when you really want to make someone look bad you can distort things .Usenet is P2L, not ScT. I don't know about SCT I guess it should be pretty good because newbies get kicked from there pretty fast but TL is very very very good tracker.
first of it's 50 euros for 70 GB.Thats like a 2 days worth of download. Unless you robed a bank i doubt you'll pay thousands of euros a month so you can leech without worries. This isn't really practical in terms of paying than leeching your ass of. 70 GB is not much. Thats why i always thought of this as a sign of apreciation from the staff for your donation. And secondly , you will get warned if cought hit n running ,no matter the buffer, so you can't say you donate a few bucks then leech with no worriesQuote:

I don't have ScT, neither a super fast connection, so TL is ok to me. But if I had a super fast connection, I heard ScT would definitely max out my download speed. :)
Really? You can get a lot more for less by doing usenet. The point is, it's the same concept. You pay and then you can leech. The other option is you upload, and then you can leach. Pay -> leech. Pay to Leech. Very simple to understand, I don't see anywhere in those 3 words anything relating to required pay. This goes back to the t-shirt concept. if I go to a store and buy a t-shirt, am I donating and getting a free t-shirt in exchange as a thank you? No.. I'm paying to purchase.Quote:

They dont need to enforce it. The speeds there are excellent even on old torrents. Any hit and running that is going on clearly isnt hurting the site.Quote:

TL is nice for big releases just because it'll have so many seeds. (not to say that s*t doesnt have awesome initial speeds)
but in any other aspect S*T is better, imo

SCT definitely has better/more content and lightning speeds, if you have a fast connection there is no contest. If you have a slow connection I think TL is probably better as you won't run into ratio problems.
I think we should create another poll asking the people who voted TL if they even have ScT.

I seriously think that TL is a better site.
Sure, ScT may be faster and have slightly better pre-times, but I really don't care about those two factors that much. TL wins when it comes to variety, and anyway when I download from TL I don't have to worry about seeding back, since I always know I'll easily be able to. On ScT, I have to think twice before downloading a torrent, consider the number of seeders, its popularity etc., which kind of takes the fun away from torrenting. The combination of super fast seeders and ratio requirements in sites such as ScT creates a situation where normal members without seedboxes (and non-100mbit-sweds) have to resort to partial/complete downloading of torrents which they don't even need while on the other hand refrain from downloading torrents which they want (but know they can't seed back), a situation which I find completely absurd. I respect trackers where I don't have to worry about these things, and therefor my vote goes to TL.

i would say sct, but i'm not on it, so i say tl.
I have SCT and TL, I think that TL is better!!
TL will win because everyone and their mom has an account there and a lot of those people are mad that they arent on sct. sct is better with pretimes and they have everything and their forums are much better. also sct has about 15000 active torrents and im only seeing around 6000 for TL.
as i said though, TL will win this pointless poll
