I really like Robin Hobb's books. Love the first Farseer triology and the Tawny man triology, but well, all of them are good (I'm on her fourth set of triology, the Soldier's Son, atm :)). I really reccomend em. Fantasy books btw... Although it seems more "serioius" than regular fantasy book.
Also reccomend the Wheel of time books.
The Celestine Prophecies has got to be the best book I've ever read, and has a massive following.
How To Talk Dirty And Influence People by Lenny Bruce is one of the funniest and best books I've ever read.
I never read, but I've enjoyed a few books:
Anthem
The Giver
Forgotten Fire
The Alchemist recently read like it.
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
Great Read.
for me... peterpan.
Well unfortunately Harry Potter 6. Not a big fan, read all HP books from 2-7 but 6 was the top of the ice-cream in the way it developed, breathtaking, anxiety and very good logic, which makes intelligent people like me like it more than the other books :P :P
Perhaps Improbable by Adam Fawer.
well best book..?
most interesting = a brief history of time by hawking
best entertainment = lotr, hyperion series (simmons), and sword of truth series (goodkind) and maybe some george rr martin
currently im reading the wheel of time series (jordan)
I read The Giver when I was in 4th grade and read it again when i was in college. the book hit me much harder the 2nd time. definitely a book everyone should read.

Decidedly: His Master's Voice by Stanislaw Lem.
Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet is an excellent read. It is long though 976 pgs.
Jonathan Livingston Seagull
The I Ching
A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy O'Toole.
Time Travellers wife... a really nice book
Tolstoy's War and Peace probably.
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
It's so simple but still so true to
each and one of us...
Everybody should consider reading
this book, you can finish it in two
days, and learn so much about the
world - and yourself.
All time favorite is Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson.

Fight Club & Choke - Chuck Palahniuk
Shogun - James Clavell
Blood of Angels - by Michael Marshal

Such a long Journey
by Rohinton Mistry
I love Stephen King but the scariest book ive ever read is
American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
i got so involved in it i had to put it down for 3 months, and ive never had to do that with any book, it was like i was him doing the stuff, scary shit (picked it back up again and it was nothing though lol)
Best Book has to be Lord of the Rings not much of a twist though, but definately worth reading.
others
Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy, suprisingly very good and i read it before any of the games (or at least just after the 1st game anyway)
anythng by Stephen King, the dark tower books im reading now are quite good, havnt finished them yet though.
Rats and Domain as well are very good by James Herbert.
Best book I ever read was the biography of Barney Curly.
For those that don't know who he is, well he was a horse racing owner, trainer, he was also a bookie and then professional gambler.
He made millions from pulling the wool over the bookies eyes with different scams!!! But they were all legit so it wasn't illegal.
The man is just a genius...
A really excellent book :)
Actually some other that come to mind are : To Kill a MOcking Bird, Animal Farm.
