ok then, another example:
the "greeter's" at the entrance of the cinema......
the clerks behind the desk,
the reel guy who puts the film on,
and several other unheard of heroes in the cinema scene. Where would we be?
I believe there are peoples jobs at stake here :(
Even if they are annoying or not :D
enjoy!
ABC...Cecil...etc..etc...
I didn't hear the movie fat cats complaining about job losses when their affiliated megaplexes opened up and forced the closure of the independants and smaller cinema chains
True but wouldnt a multipimplex employ more folks than a flea pit!Quote:

The multiplexes just mean that their friends at McDonalds etc have somewhere to push their cardboard non-food to a captive audience. So the amount of people that work in the cinema isn't equal to the people who work FOR the cinema.
Does a 12-screen cinema need more staff than 4 3-screen cinemas? If anything, it needs less.

yes but yoo needs extra capacitteee in the bogs department! They don't cleeen em selves ya know! So there probably at list more peeps emplued as shite scrubbers!
Perhaps large companys such as UGC, Warner Cinemas, IMAX, etc, are aware of this, and try to restrict their employment of people so as to increase their profits to the most possible.Quote:

Maybe, im not sure tho....
NO NO NO!!!
They exist to invest in the future of our audio-visual entertainment! They have no interest in profit whatsoever! Honestly!!!
i think the shite scrubber thing is a good point.
There is an excess amount of excrement produced as a result of people going to the cinema.
Im sure this arises from people eating popcorn or various other snacks from the handy stands placed for your pleasure at the entrance.
Also there is the fact that around most cinemas there will be a restaurant of some sort.
So the shite scrubbers are needed, like it or not.
Keep em goin.
Bottom line is.....These companies are there to make money, that's why we call them companies!
If there was no money in it, they would not do it :(
That is the fear on the grape vine, that somewhere down the line people will stop going to the cinema and hireing dvd/vids therefore movies will make no money, therefore we will kill our own form of entertainment in the same way fishermen have killed their trade!

Stealing has bin around from the dawn of time - it has just got more advanced now...

Think of other small business from unrelated industries such as retailers, road building, house building, property prices rise, oh and we'll need another school and some policemen, (well maybe not). OH my giddy aunt - the multipimplex just aint big enough any more!!!!!!!!!! We need to build a humongousplexerama with quadruple the capacity. And ofcouse we must attract the punters - I know! we could have a special hand type contraption with a feather attached to it wot tickles your bits while you watch the movie!!!!! etc etcQuote:

I think several of these ideas should be submitted to the manifesto's of anti-globalisation political partys.
or to the fat pricks who run UGC, etc etc.....
but if theres ticklers wont it be classed as a "gentlemen's" cinema?
Yes! Yes!Quote:

Dont know but I sure there is some entreperwotsits out there who know a good thing when I suggest it!
Shit that's a thought! how do I patent it?
I do it because I've never seen the point in paying for anything when you can get it for free. Simple as that.
Do I feel Guilty? No, its a dod eat dog world and theres plenty of people with bigger teeth than me, and out of 4,552,213 users online right now, I can't be the only person who feels this way...
But I'm putting on my flame proof suite just in case..... :P

@CBB
Cinemas have been relatively unaffected by piracy. There is no difference in listening to a pirated music CD compared to one you've bought, but there is a huge difference between watching a movie on a monitor and watching it on the big screen.
Unless you have a 50ft monitor of course!
There should be a local patent office.....
but it costs money.
and the idea may already have been lodged my someone.
After seeing it on here, perhaps.
Better get moving i suppose if you want the chance......
Then again, maybe it wont take off.....
We are all criminal morons anyway for downloading all our illegal "things".
Morally and legally.
Not at all some geezer - you are to be commended for your honest dishonesty - I more intrigued by the boards righteous types!Quote:

:D
:D
I always pay for movies that I want to see then I d/l em. I'm not doing anyone out of any cash because I would'nt pay to see a movie at the cinema twice (unless I really like it and then I'd buy the retail DVD when it was released.)
Same with the music thing. If I d/l something and like it then I'll buy the cd. If I only like 1 or 2 tracks then I wont.
It does'nt make it any less illegal but I dont care. Morally I know that what I'm doing is not hurting the movie/music industry or any company associated with it.
Unless the ppl d/ling from me have a different way of doing things.....
you like that dont you? you ate it the other day :lol:Quote:
