Re: Experience with BitMeTV staff
I was also banned at bitme, but there i was flagged as a cheater. when i asked, why do they think i'm a cheater, i was told that they don't want to give me ideas how to cheat... I'm really happy that at least i wasn't in risk at other places, because i also don't want to hide, using the same one or two nick everywhere.

The fun will really start once shared blacklists are rolled out to participating trackers. I'll give you 3 guesses what a shared blacklist would affect.
You thought global bans died with TPG? Wrong. They survive on other sites, one of which I created. No, I couldn't call for a global ban at all
 seriously guys, take care or mr. badass just might pull up usersearch on 5 sites :01:

Spouting about 'illegal business' just makes you look like a dumbass.
Even the good old US of A has fair use and betamax laws covering publically broadcast TV shows. Did they not teach you that in the lawschool of your own head?
what a lovely story, i'm sure your fellow inmate will enjoy it at bedtime :yup:

Re: Experience with BitMeTV staff
Sure bmtv staff does things they shouldn't and treat people the way they shouldn't but people should realize that if they stop trying to con their way back into the site and just told their story to others discouraging people to join then the site's staff would either gain some customer service skills, have a very small user base or go out of business.

Re: Experience with BitMeTV staff
rvt you need to stop frightening these poor people. if they knew anything about the bit torrent scene they would be able to work out your identity

Re: Experience with BitMeTV staff
I don't have problems with the site & what rvt says is true. Sites share info about bad users & cheaters, it's easy to get banned across multiple sites within an hour. I did this when I was PTP staff and I even get info now on MetalBits which is a bloody small tracker. I talk to a lot of staff and when bad users are around, everyone knows quickly who they are and investigates further.
If you're a shit user you'll get caught out and end up on FST or somewhere else bitching about how you got caught being a fuckhead.

What rumors are going around about me? You're an ace if you tell me who's that particular fuckface going around trying to ban me everywhere.
I was told there's somebody going around in every tracker and doing this, but I wasn't given the name.
BitmeTV is harsh but fair in my opinion. They've got harsh rules which they have to follow, and they might come accross as assholes in doing so.
They're not as rude as the public makes them out to be. From personal experience I've wintessed otherwise.
One of their admins Q for example, went out of his way and broke one of their important rules "one account per lifetime rule" and gave me my accounts back asking for nothing in return but to be honest in the future. That's something I would have never expected from the rumors that had heard about BitmeTV staffers prior to that ocurrance.
The funny thing is that he reached out to me in the Bitme channel and asked me if I wanted my account back just like that:blink: ..I didn't even know if I was supposed to say thanks to the guy or curse him out for getting me in a shitload of trouble with other trackers in the first place lolol jk
So the main idea here is not to judge someone/something based on rumors unless you've had encounteres with them yourself..But I'm going to say this:
HdBits staffers are the worst  (what an asshole I am right)
Seriously though. If you wanna talk about bad staffers, there you go. Let alone that these guys don't give you second chances, but they're not even interested to hear you out and explain yourself.
At the middle of your convo, they'll laugh in your face, call you an asshole and kick you from the chan.
Now that you know what you're up against, better hope to never have to deal with them

Re: Experience with BitMeTV staff
To all Bitmetv staff:
I don't know how to use irc and have not been able to log onto the bitmetv irc channel. Is it not posible for you guys to send me a password reset email. You have my username and my email details are on the site.
If you check, you can also see that i donate regularly and intend to keep it up cos the site has been very helpful to me. Since i have been unable to log on, i have not found any suitable substitute. So please guys- help a brother out. I need my bitmetv fix

Re: Experience with BitMeTV staff
i hear they can check to see what sites you last visited. You need to disable some options in your FF browers or use private browsing

Same goes for bad users tbh... some of them just jump on conclusions saying that specific staffer hates them when its just far from being true.
And yeah bitmetv staffers ain't that bad and Q is an awesome guy.

Re: Experience with BitMeTV staff
While we disparage the negative,I think its only fair if we accentuate the positive as well. Its indeed true that some bitmetv staffers are suffering from a serious case of arrested adolescence and urgently need to grow up but I don't think the same can be said about Q and as already pointed out,he is probably one of the most level headed individuals BT will ever have.Beats me how he does it but I think his humility and commitment to fairness is probably inborn otherwise he would be just like the others by now credits to character e-smosis lol.I really do respect his persona
@albo good to know that the place that started it all finally took you back.As to what's left,I think time eventually heals everything, all you gotta do is wait. Its how people gain wisdom after all.

Totally agree.Q is one of the best admins out there and he goes easy on the members. Can't say the same about the others though.:dabs:

Re: Experience with BitMeTV staff
BitMeTV looks nice to me, I don't understand why they're sometimes called the worst staff.
I needed to contact them few times with different questions, about my invites or invitees mostly. They're very helpful and polite, once even helped me to avoid inviting bad guy.
I hope I'll keep this feeling about their staff
P. S.
chima13, why don't you go to their irc instead of hoping that they will be reading it here?
