Can you tell me what program is it? I'm very interested.
I also use different passwords for every site randomly created by a generator but I keep track of them in a txt

Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
here's an easy way of creating a unique memorizable password for any site you join. Just use any word you'll remember, like your first name, and then add @siteyouwant.com. For example, for bitme.org, i might use [email protected]
Easy to remember, unique, and strong (14 letters, capital letter, symbol)

Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?

not really!
say, a hacker hacked ur bitme.org account (hope that doesn't happen), then he will notice that you have [email protected] as your password. The chances are he will try to login with...
[email protected]
and so forth.

Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
I use system generated password for each site and use auto-login...safest you can get

Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
I use the Firefox extension PasswordMaker. It uses the address to make a hash, which you use as your password. There are plenty of settings, so as long as you don't leave it default, its really secure. Plus you can't possibly forget them, and you don't have to back it up unless the URL changes. Brilliant.

Has happened many many times. All it takes is e.g. an insecure site that you are member of being hacked.
Or someone having you open a link/picture in firefox if you store them there.

Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
I use RoboForm to generate random passwords for different sites...
and it works very well...
I can't remember any password XD
But, just by doing regular backups, no worry about losing them

Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
I use different passwords on every site, and whilst I can remember a lot of them, I also keep them stored in a text file which is in a password-protected rar file located on a computer not attached to the internet.

Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
Remember ur password is the safest option else U can write it on a paper to avoid loss due to pc failure ..... also if u r a active member u can get it recovered by staff .. thats how i got once when i lost my password at a site :P

Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
definitely use different passwords for every torrent site. . .. .
random letters and numbers upper AND lower case ....
on my seedbox all the account passwords are between 25 and 35 characters long !!
I highly recommend Microsoft Office ONENOTE for keeping such tidbits organized....
-
Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
eh the password recover does it for me. Also, i use the firefox password thinger so yea.
-
Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
Every time I sign up in a new site, tracker or not I create a .txt file with all data (address, password, Pin codes, etc.) and make a copy in pendrive and other disk.
Itīs an habit thing I guess, it may look annoying but once I got used to it itīs something I do automatic.

Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
I randomly generate passwords on every site. Then I keep it in Firefox 3.0, which is protected by master password. Then I make backups with Password Exporter (Addon) regularly.

if u want to use different passwords and cant remember if ur pc crashes or u have forgotten simply recover it thru mail, and if u are so concerned about remembering it,
just make one password, divide into half, reverse this same pass for other site, and then for some other site divide it into three pieces reverse them as u like.
in general have one pass which u can remember it and apply various probability which u can remember of, according to probabiliity u applied recover thru ur mind....bcoz brain is the only safer place to keep ur pass secure.

Re: Do you use different password for different bt site?
I used a different username and password at every torrent site. Keep them saved in Firefox 3 and also written down on a piece of paper stuck on the wall next to my PC.
