I'm a member of both sites (not a particulary active one) and they both offer a good range of material and friendly communities.
I rarely download from either site, but you will sometimes find the occasional gem uploaded or something you've been searching for for ages will suddenly appear.
But the community is what holds both sites in high standing in my eyes.
And for those of you who don't see the point in joining a site for it's community only....why bash them for something you just don't feel or understand?
There are many who put torrent contents low on the list of priorities, so why not leave them to enjoy what they do.
Just out of speculation, I've seen a lot of people with U*-*, and they weren't satisfied with the tracker. I've seen it given away quite a bit, or traded, and the original owner didn't like the it.
But I've seen a great deal of people who have Rabbit and they really show that they like it. And I don't think I've ever seen it given away or traded.
But who the hell really knows anyway? Since everyone's opinion is different it's hard to really find an answer to questions like that.
What I would really like to know is how high is the integration between the forums and the tracker are? My favorite sites are the ones where everyone talks about... for instance a movie, and then someone uploads it so everyone else can watch it to further discuss.
Which, by the way, that's what makes a torrent community a lot different than a free sign-up community anywhere else on the 'net.

I think a lot of people's mother tongue is probably not English. Hence they know atleast two languages. Their English might not be perfect, its good enough to communicate
Why complain if a person can't understand or speak english properly or write the grammer they try as long as the person you are talking with can understand with a little work at the oposite end it's not exactly an easy language to master considering you have 10 words different words all meaning the same thing i can't see why anybody should complain give those people the respect they even attempt the english language don't be such an arrogant prick.

I didn't mean to insult them, I just mentioned. You can try to communicate to get what you want, you can see tons of examples. "WTB Tier3, 500g, whispme" "give acc, want xxxinv" "kekzorloln00bzor", its just not the same when you exchange opinions, thoughts. English isnt THAT hard imho - its getting offtopic now-, german is much harder to learn for example cos of those goddamn million cases. You can fit in the tracker, cos u can maintain ratio, and can be helpful, but in the community, you neet to talk for that...

Its human nature to want something you dont have and especially if its rare.
So its understandable that people want it. But i do find it funny the lengths people go, just to maintain those sites. I find it really funny when people brake just about all the rules regarding of those sites; IE Trading and mentioning them in public and so on. Then have the nerve to say they want it for the communety. Becouse by braking their rules you clearly show you could not care less about the sites privacy.
And how can people say its such an awesome comunety when they have not been in the site at all? For it to be an grate comunety dont the majority of the members have the same kind of interests that you have? Forum posts having taking up issiues that you actually care about or want to disucss.
Or is it enough that several people say the communerty is awesome?
Other than English, i can speak 2 international language. There isn't ANY torrent community with my native language (there used to be one but got raided coz it was illegal) and there is ONLY one forum [in my national language] that suits my need...but guess what? I can't type my own language [it's very hard] but i have excellent writing and verbal skill which do not help over internet. so even with my own countrymen i am forced to use English.Quote:

There are a few sites which really care about their privacy. Part of being part of a strong community and keeping the site going is abiding by their rules. This includes not talking about the said tracker in a public forum (such as this FTN).

From what I hear...rabbit has the better community. However, rabbit and wheel both aren't as good as they're hyped to be (I've heard this from two people, both members of both).
Anyways... it seems wheel and rabbit are more for the epeen and community than the content.

For Heaven's sake torrents are about download, stop the blabla and yaddayadda about Community, and nice people. Primary reason to join a good tracker is to grab the good stuff. Seed and leech. Sharing is caring. And yes, sometimes U can get friends based on similar scope of interest. It happens sometime. Also there are times when U cross the path of some really generous fellow. Nice relationships could evolve.It could happen too.
