Untrue i became PU in 4 weeks with just a regular connection (no seedbox) I have around 50GB up and like 6 GB's down or something.
i never had a probelm without a seedbox and that was before their new rules with 3/4 counting on download so if you have 50 kb/s or higher upload you should be fine as long as you're smart.
I still haven't download anything from sct since the 3/4 downloads rule came into effect. I'm still confused about why. I guess it doesn't matter i got a ton of stuff i'm seeding from there anyways.
U can always use those special occasions to improve Your ratio. What do I mean? SCT - BD-party, Xmas-time etc. Those are some great opportunities for boosting Your ratio.

I didn't get a triple upload in any of my torrents-not even double. Nor i heard from someone getting more than double. Anyway, it wasn't 1:1 for sure. The staff knows better.

As mentioned before it's not hard to keep a ratio when you have a 40kb/s upload, I managed it for 2 years easily.

Dl some rars from the movie packs as soon as they are uploaded and seed !! Games, HD movies or new movies (like hitman) are also verry good for your ratio !

Try downloading just part of the rar's, if it is a rar seperated file. Then just seed a few sections of it.
A seedbox would be a good way to go or a fast connection...

ScT is such a fast tracker that it would be near impossible without a seedbox.

If you have a fast home connection. My home connection gets 50kb/s upload. THere's no way I would last long on sct, im waiting for a seedbox
When U jump on a new torrent than u are part of the swarm. Then the race begins: the faster, the better. And Bittorrent protocol by nature favors the faster. That means that the members of the swarm are more likely to download from the faster seeder. In this case SCT is full of Gigabit - servers. They just kill the average seeder, and virtually there is no chance to seed a considerable amount back - unless if U seed for weeks.

I haven't never used a seedbox, and I manage to keep my ratio 1:1
Try to get files elsewhere (fast with a lot of buffer) and seed (new member of any sites or hard to seed sites).

I have been seeding 24/7 and 7 days a week for a couple of months now. This has given me a ratio of 1,5 on 200 gig downloaded. I now have a little buffer and i feels nice to have, i have to do this cause of my crappy upload.
