well with the news that FF13 is coming to the 360, PS3 is going to be an epic fail (and yes i have one).
Wii will win, 360 2nd because people have to buy 2 or 3 every couple of years because they keep breaking, and PS3 will just be bought as a Blu-ray player, which lets face it, hasnt really taken off yet, DVD still rules the roost atm.
If they ever get Home up and running and its good, get some more exclusives, then it may push a little bit, but i still cant see it coming anywhere close to the other 2 (even if its moddable, i dont think it will)
Sony isn't doing too great a job holding onto exclusives =/
This thread, as the title suggests, is about the year 2008, and I undoubtedly think that 360 still has the upper-hand this year (even with MGS4 on PS3 this year).
MGS4 is the only game that is making the PS3 at least stand in competition (in terms of games) against the 360 this year.
I predict that the PS3 will probably outclass the 360 (again, in terms of games) in the year 2010 and by that time the 360 will have done it's job and M$ will already be thinking about its next-gen system.
And as I stated in my first post, this thread is about X360 and PS3 because they are in the same league. The Wii uses last-gen cpu/gpu power and tackles a different market population.
The Wii will continue to crash them both. I imagine that if Nintendo is selling that many consoles, there have to be some game sales as well lol.
As for 360 vs Ps3. I only own a 360 and the 360 gets most killer games and I would never buy a console just to play exclusives. There would have to be like 20% or more in exclusives and they better be damn good. Also the 360 does also get exclusives or not?
I also preffer the 360 because I don't have to buy every single game. If you own a PS3, you do!
Xbox 360. It has better exclusive games, its cheaper and gets Final Fantasy XIII.

Btw, the 360 has the best attach rate for its software. The Wii may have the most console sales but the Xbox 360 has the highest attach rate meaning it has sold the most software per console than the Wii or PS3. These companies aim to make their money on the software, not on the consoles.

MGS4 is legendary... game play, storyline, graphics cannot be matched by any Xbox 360 game... MGS4 filled up the blu-ray disc (50GBs double layer) because it had so much content...
The game with the best graphics on PS3 is definitely Uncharted: Drake's Fortune... it also had a very good storyline and game play was good too.
PS3 will definitely win....

and no one will actually win it until its the new next gen consoles come out, but for this year the 360 has just trounced the PS3.
MGS4 is good i will give it that, but i would not say it was legendary.
Xbox360, mostly because almost every good title that you want is/will be available for the 360. The PS3 doesn't really have that many exclusives that are a must own coming up.

so there is a hell of a lot of cutscenes and movies in it, just like the other ones.
it still is a good game, but they they only play the online side of it. but definately far to much ZZZZ involved it you want to watch all the cutscenes.
in means of exclusiveness , PS3 wins by a narrow margin over the Xbox,
but in means of the most enjoyable titles and best network the Xbox wins by a notable margin....
I think Sony attracts people using a huge advertising campaign over a couple of games, but the Xbox have plenty of amazing titles, more enough that they don't have the same opportunity as their PS3 counterparts

Xbox 360, quite obviously.
PS3 barely has any exclusives worth buying for. MGS4 and Resistance 2 are good titles, but that's nothing compared to the 360's lineup.
IMO, the only reason PS3 is outselling/might sell more is because there's a BluRay player in it - and it's a good price for a Blu-Ray player. That's probably the only reason it's selling at all. So in a way, as BR gains popularity - it is the year of the PS3.
Because of this, I really don't consider the consoles comparable at all - the PS3 would be more accurately compared with a MediaPC or BR Player.

As it has been mentioned earlier, the exclusives for the ps3 are too few compared to the 360. MSG4 is the only title I could imagine buying for the ps3.

Tekken 6 is no longer a ps3 exclusive.
First it was FFXIII and now its T6. Woah.
Still, this won't affect sales much because the casual/uneducated gamers will stick with and buy PS3 because of the success of PS2. I was planning to buy a PS3 myself even though I have X360 but I guess I don't really need it apart from Blu-ray format.

But i got to say one more thing id advise no1 to get a nintendo wii its just the biggest waste of money of all time, i have one and it just seems to collect dust and when i talk to a lot of people that i know who have one, they all say the same thing that they never use it anymore.
