There's some seriously ill cats out there only that they are underground,these guys would make supernatural and immortal teks look like starters.But to answer you,as far as mainstream hiphop goes i'd say kanye west takes it for me,other than 808s and heart breaks i've kinda liked almost everything that he's done.But I also have to add that lil wayne is a fag and i honestly think he just got lucky,bruno and ryan seacrest somehow think that he's the illest so...

Rap defintely changed. Now it is all autotune,How much $ they have,cars, basically club rap crap.

Recently I have been listening to The Game,Kid Cudi,JayZ and Nas. Did not like Eminem's last album at all. The Only good songs were the bonus tracks but still one of the best Mc's. Lil wayne gets on my nerves but can't knock him as he know how to market himself, his music. Lil Wayne and Kanye West should form a group :P

there is no best imo, different rappers may appeal to different people, some lyriccs make more sense to one group of people than another, so for me the best rapper is 2pac
