They are not reliable for certain sites. You can trust them in other ways but when it comes to logging in to a site-following all rules. Some real life friends will disappoint you. Is a shame..Most think frost is the best thing online. Give them a demonoid at best if it is a first time bt member. All i can say. Then maybe a IPT if they do well?

Some of my friends download from emule or limewire. I imagine that none of them should have some notion of torrenting.

Like someone said before, they are not trusted to be invited to a top tracker... not by me. I don't wanna be banned and also lose a friend :lol:

You don't have to invite them to top level trackers. They can start with something practical like IPtorrents and then move up to trackers which require more responsibility. I'd give them about 3 weeks tops to get used to the ratio system and rules, then after that you don't have to worry.

Guess you could say I have a real life torrenting friend..my wife..she was an admin of a torrent site when we 'met'. True story...;)

Only virtual friends using private trackers and others ways..

i have plenty of buddies who dabble in torrents, but most of them dont like to seed, which deters me from giving them invites. I usually star mt friends off on IPT to see how they do then if the do fine and want a better 0-day i give them some of my other invites. i dont like to give out invites to anyone i dont trust will use the account properly, be it rl or il friends

I invited my mom to tvtorrents.com. Apparently her ISP had accidently un-capped her connection, and from home she uploaded over 500gb in a couple of days.

Her ISP threatened to disconnect her, so she left the bittorrent world behind.

I have a bunch of personal friends that torrent. Mostly for music. I've invited friends to what, waffles, and bcg because we are all really into what they offer as friends. I want to leak my band's cd to some sites soon, looking forward to that also. have to sell a few more first!

Just one of my RL friends are into it. I found out about that when i started torrenting. He^has invited me to places. I would invite him but he has everything he wants ^^

2, and they're were complete noobs. they're getting the hang of it now. invited them to a couple lower-level trackers

I have many real life friends interested in bt and filesharing at all. Majority of my invites are for them of course.

I only have one real life friend into the BT world and I try to help him out as much as I can since he's proven that he can be a good member and keep a good ratio.

i know of 2 people that get down like us.

I have friends that are interested in the content on bt but no-one interested in doing it themselves. This is good because I could never truest them with an invite anyway.

I have a couple of IRL friends into BT. But they do not know about me. I just smirk when they talk about their downloading. I say nothing nobody knows about me.:whistling

There's hardly any point in giving invites to my real life friends. We're all pretty much into the same things so I share what I download and they with me. It isn't worth the time and bandwidth to have us all download the same things.

I once gave an invite to a RL friend and i regretted it...

Well my last real life friend has dropped out of the private tracker scene, invited him to bitmetv, account never user, disabled, my 3 e-friends are all doing well with a good ratio :)

here in bulgaria all one torrent. :hooray:
