Hello danb :) (I'd get one of those wavy smilies myself, if I could be bothered)
Thanks lamsey!, Should I grab 'um and host myself?
Duh, just looked at the top of the page, that's what you get for going online straight out of bedhttp://www.mcbriens.net/liam/img/smilies/duh.gif
I believe I've proved my point?

pol took my last one when he beat me in Mars-Hopper.
I'm getting better at these things though, this one is more detailed but ten kb's smaller than the last, and I didn't even use my optimizer this time, since the trial term went out.

I'ts really simple, all you need to make a static one is a photo of yourself, and a decent program, like Photoshop or Corel Photohouse in a pinch, and you can work from there.
An animated one like mine also requires a gif-animator, but each frame was still made as a separate picture in photoshop (I like animating by hand).
is it relatively easy then? i guess its like a lot of things until you try it you dont know if you can do it or not.
i never seem to have the time to sit down and teach my self things like that. can you get those programmes freeware?
i'm 17, which means soon its gonna be socially unacceptable to watch cartoons :(
dont worry about it. i'm 24 and still manage to get away with ithttp://members.shaw.ca/wenpigsfly/smileys/tv_happy.gifQuote:

Just ignore the society, cartoons rule (cow and chicken) even if you´re in youre thirties :PQuote:

@danb: Relatively easy, yes, all it really takes is some experimentation, and besides there are websites that take you through specific things, my brother had one where you were taught how to make fire-balls and a few other things, he's quite good at these things, whereas I'm only decent.
Don't know where to get them, one was given to me, and the other came with my scanner.
I think there are trials, and/or simplified versions for free, but my gif-animator is shareware, and as far as I know there is no time-limit, so guess it's sort of "free".
Maybe pol or Jonno might have a better idea on where to get something like it.
@darth: blame nostalgia, that's what I do "I'm just going to sit here and think back to a time when life was easier". Besides just watch something that is sufficiently clever and you can get away with it, "Simpsons" for instance, is satire.
the onus is on me to investigate then!! Perhaps instead of doing nothing i could try and learn. Stranger things have happened! :lol:
Perhaps i shoukld pop round my mum's house one evening and get my little brother to show me, its quite embareesing how much more he knows than me!! :">
razorsharp013 lol im 23
Specialize, that's what we do, I'm the language person and the guy who deals with computer hardware and drivers(oh yeah I went to pre-med too), the next brother is a mechanic, heavy machinery and car engines is his forté, whereas the next in line is into software and programming, physics, chemistry and maths. That way we've got everything covered, well almost, if I need my tv fixed I go to one of my uncles. :)Quote:

@danb: 21, 19, 14 and my sister is 12.
I see enough of my brothers, my parents own a big house and I share the upper floor, with the two oldest of my brothers, and since the bathroom (on our floor) is shared, and we don't have our own kitchens, it some times gets a bit frustrating, the only good thing is that the rent is low.
I used to live in an another place but me and my room-mate didn't get along, so now I'm here for a couple of months more, it's quite nice sometimes though.
Edit: wrong word
sounds good. unfortunatley i had a bit of grief a few years ago and didnt see them for 2 years and now i dont live at home i only really see them on the odd occasion.
then again they did use to drive me mad when i lived at home!! :lol:
I have recalculated my age in accordance with JP. Instead of LXV I am now CDLXII. :P :P :P
D=10000 :blink:
I=1
II=2
III=3
IV=4
V=5
VI=6
X=10
L=50
C=100
M=1000
Or am I wrong?
i myself am 16..
No. But there are some variations in the way they are displayed, like:-
IV or IIII = 4 and some others I cant remember offhand.
