'The Shining' is a pretty good movie, not that scary, but the suspense builds up very nice. A real masterpiece!
Alien 2 (maybe)
it really scared the heck out of me because when i saw the directors cut it was a stormy night and the house i was in made noises *brrrrrrr*
scary i say :o :o :o
Download the Omen my mom told me it was a scary film it's on suprnova.org
Those movies with pinhead are hellraiser, one and two are ok but then they lost the plot somewhat with three , bunch of bollox.Quote:

I think after you've watched a few you're pretty much immune to them. I can't remember the last horror that I watched that even mildly disturbed me, but some of the earlier Evil Dead and Day of the Dead type films were OK, I suppose. More gore than suspense though really. What were those ones with the character Pinhead in them? You know, the one with the Chinese puzzle cube in and all that, where hell opens up and demons start torturing the person who owns the cube. The first one of those wasn't bad, from what I remember.
If you really want full effect from any horror, watch it with the lights out, at night, and sit with your back close to an open window. Sleep deprivation and drugs help too  ;)
I must recomend the original evil dead uncut, the bit where the girl at the window starts naming the playing cards she cant see, and the floating cackiling contorting her body into death rigor poses... and then the PENCIL! aaaggghhh, but anyway, oh and the tree rape, Ringu and the ring are both good though ringu made my flesh crawl a little bit more than ring.
the thing is a good action horror, zombie, dawn of the dead is a classic, low budget effects aside, what an eerie soundtrack, pure class.
As is day of the dead.
Demons and others by Dario Argento.
that one with the space vampires, and the shuttle, with jl picard as a bleeding doctor, haha, cant remember its name.
And many many more can be yours with the great and almighty kazaa-lite, the worlds premier p2p software package, no computer should be without it!
D2D :D slightly mad...
P.S. your right about the drugs, they really help to make you paranoid , like, were all being watched all the time anyway, you all know that?
SCARY movie 2
try Caniball Holocaust...
it's ok by me...
Ringu is NOT scary.
Gotta see "The Hills Have Eyes", I can't believe no one mentioned it.
The movie Gigli with J Lo and Ben has to be the scariest movie ever made in history
whoa whoa whoa. what's "the eye" all about. is it scary? cuz ringu was shit compared to the ring (usa remake). i mean, ringu wasn't scary at all, but the ring was :o , i couldn't go to sleep for 2 days straight after watching that movie, checking 2 see if the tv was on or off. seriously though, could someone pls post or pm me the deal with "the eye", i'm 2 lazy to look it up :P
Yeah The Ring was much scarier than Ringu but one thing Ringu had on The Ring was the scene where Sadako (Samara) is crawling out of the TV. In the US version, no big deal. OK, when she "fast-forward moved" it was kinda creepy, but not really. Now in the Japanese version, first of all her fingernails are all broken off, and rightly so as she just crawled up and out of a well. Secondly, the eye... I don't mean that other movie... I mean Sadako's eye... that scene is on the Japanese cover... it's *almost* as scary as the girl's face in the beginning, when she comes into the room... if you have VHS you miss that scene as they took it out but it was in the theatrical and it was certainly on the DVD. I freeze framed and screen captured that shit and put it on the net! LOL!
omen 3 was good, but not really scary (omen 4 was TERRIBLE!).
darkness falls was a lil cheesy, but had some spots 2 make u jump.
i'm lookin 4 the same thing as u, i wanna c somethin that'll make it hard 4 me 2 go 2 bed!
EDIT: candyman was scary - but i still looked in the mirror and said his name 5 times, just 2 do it. i'm still alive! yay! :D
The Eye is the ultimate scare factor, if you will see this movie you will need company 'cause movie is very scary. Maybe, The Phone, it's a good horror movie too.
whoever said jeepers creepers 1 or 2 should be ashamed of themselves.... very ashamed :P .
the new TCM is a good'un but again.... doesnt really scare you... just better the the oridginal.
thinking of a film that is really scarey isnt that easy thinking about it.
what comes of being part of the freddy generation i guess.
"From Justin to Kelly" was freakie!!!
j/p, never seen it. i will check out The Eye, though. lots of good remarks. The Ring was freaky to me...had nightmares for a few nights...it was so real i couldn't sleep so went to stay at hotel w/ g/f, hehe.
darkness falls- sucked
There aren't any movie that makes me scared...
The face of that girl they flash up on the screen for a second on the ring was pretty freaky I thought. As to a really scary movie, I thought the blair witch project.. just kidding, but yeah "SESSION 9" is a really creepy independent film, check it out. No ghosts though, speaking of which; "thirteen ghosts"? Come on.
Hellraiser! one of the greatest! (me and a couple of buddies watched that on HBO when we were in school, 8th grade maybe, and i got f'n spooked, i laughed all the way through the excorcist, while they were hidin under blankets and stuff, then my friends crashed and i stayed up to see hellraiser by myself...this was me the whole movie> .... you gotta see it, its a classic)Quote:

Scroll up to the top of page 5 where I gave the link. If you miss it, I think two people quoted it further down, and their quotes also contain the link, giving us a total of 3 links to http://www.geocities.com/bookofomens/scary.htm .... oops that's 4 links to it now... the scariest images on the Net and if you have anything better, submission information IS on the page, so hook me up!
I thought The Ring (U.S. Remake) Came in and cut down all those crappy slasher flicks like wheat before the scythe. The visual style was amazing, the suspense tense and there was almost NO comic-relief!
Yeh the US remake make was ok,but don't you think the Original Ringu was a lot better and scarrier.
My opinion is that Ringu was 100% more scarrier then the remake.
