Half Life 2 Beta On Irc

Hey. Look in comparison of these to pictures. Now if monsters don't fight back then what is this thing doing. By saying they don't fight back, I took it as they didn't move. If thats what you mean then look at these. If you mean they move but can't hurt you, then sorry.

Now see that in the first picture he is in one position, then in the second, its in another position. I know it can't be caused by the guy shooting him, since....well...he has the same ammo in both pictures. Just thought I'd add this.


Like I said, when you said they can't fight back, I took it as they just stood still... ;)

Ya i saw some monsters coming towards the player, and him killing them. I like the last couple, where the pistol is acting like a gravity gun.

There is one on bittorrent. Like one dude said, go to suprnova.org then go to where it says "bittorrentmovies.de". Click the big picture of Gordon and go to the link below it. The speed is pretty good...about 10 more hours....

Read how BT works....you won&#39;t get max speeds, especially at high traffic times like this.

If you think its slow on bittorrent, you get it from one guy on kazaa, without any sources, it may take you days....

In fact, I am not accessing this forum from kazaa, I am using internet explorer just because I can&#39;t stand being in kazaa.

Once I&#39;m done I would, but just to warn you, getting games off of Kazaa is not recommended. Most likely once you&#39;re done downloading the game off of Kazaa the file&#39;s gonna be corrupt. That&#39;s why some of the members of this board moved on to using other P2P programs to download games and other crap.

well I wish there was a way to make this thing move faster.

Im checking out some Half life 2 forums and some of these ppl have the game already. I wish they could post the links to the sites their using. Damn mods on those site suck keep talking about banning ppl if they post links.

That video I was talking about, on suprnova, I finally got it downloaded, and I watched it. First off it was someone using a video camera(pretty steady btw)to record the monitor. Even though it being such low crapy quality, I have to say that the footage makes me hungry for more. Right now I am so impatient. I have never been this excited over a game, especially a beta, or alpha if you will...

The guy went to trap town and he just messed around....shot some barrels, knocked some stuff down. Just the things you can do makes me yurn for it. The AI appears very smart, they fight back with force, die nicely, the graphics look superb(even for a beta). The sounds are nice(from the bad quality I could hear, they still sounded good&#33;).

Man I shouldn&#39;t have watched that video...I don&#39;t think I can wait the rest of these 11 hours...

I guess I&#39;ll go make a pot of coffee. This is different from usuall. I&#39;m not leaving this one on for the night to download. I intend to be awake when its done. These next 11 hours are going to be VERY interesting....

Don&#39;t sit here and read this. If you haven&#39;t started downloading already, THEN DO IT&#33; ;)

Ah well, luckily the leaked game is only walking around and has many errors. I&#39;m glad it doesn&#39;t have any missions or any of that cause this damn thing pushed the proper release date back to april 04&#39; ffs. shit.....winrar says i need part 62 to finish extracting, for some reason the download didnt include it. Anyone know a way to get past this?

Filesoup have the torrent for part 62 in the forum topic for HL2. You need to be a member to view though.

heh...I will in a second cygnuz-Y. Just kind of in stun of the game. I went to the e3 techdemo level 2 to mess around. I was setting up barrels and knocking the fuckers over with another barrel. I use that dead guys body and put him between to matresses and shot the shit out of it. Heh it was funny man. Strange though, you can&#39;t pick up bodys in the normal game with the gravity gun, only in that demo. I think valve is fucking us around. Or maybe its just in this beta. But its odd that in the normal game you can&#39;t pick up the bodys, but in that level you can pick up that body. I think its just like what that guy said in the readme about the door still kicking open. I don&#39;t think you can ever really pick up bodys in the game...dunno...


Game runs smooth, beautiful graphics, but still some errors and missing textures...


I&#39;ll see what I can do about a screenshot...

where did u get your beta from? Would u plz plz put it in your shared folder?

I&#39;m wondering the same thing. Cygnuz I&#39;m going to get on your screenshot. What you want a screen of. That way you know its real. Find me a place to host it too.
