I'm currently listening to the audio book of The Gunslinger by Stephen King...pretty good.
I've just finished reading "1984" by George Orwell. Had to read it at school and never really got it at the time but having re-read it I really enjoyed it. Doubleplusgood.
Starting "Birdsong" by Sebastian Faulks next. I'm looking forward to this reading this as I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Lotus Birth - Shivam Rachana
http://www.birthinternational.com/pr...ook/bk663.html
It suggests a lot of health problems later in life are directly due to the way we are born. There is generally a lot of trauma due to current hospital practices of baby delivery, which shows up later in life as stress in many different areas of peoples lives.
Very interesting.
:)
O Pioneers! by Willa Catha (it's on my reading list for uni...)
Just got the latest delivery from my book club :D
Part of said delivery is a book by my favorite SF/Fantasy author, Robert Rankin.
He's considered by many to be the world's leading exponent of far-fetched fiction.
The Witches of Chiswick
 :lol:Quote:
History is a cauldron of lies
brewed up by Victorian witches.
We have alll been lied to. A great and
sinister consipiracy exists to keep us from
uncovering the truth about our past.
Henry Ford wasn't wrong when he said
'history is bunk'. He could still remember
the days when the wireless transmission of
energy powered motorcars, mighty airships
and space cruisers. And when Britannia
ruled not only the waves, but all of the
Earth and much of the cosmos besides.
Did it ever occur to you that Jules Verne
and H.G. Wells might have based their
fantastic futuristic fiction upon fact? Did
you know that The War of The Worlds was
a true account of real events? That Captain
Nemo's Nautilus even now lies rusting at
the bottom of the North Sea? That there
really was an invisible man?
Now you can learn how a cabal of Victorian
Witches from the Chiswick Townswomen's
Guild, working with advanced Babbage
super-computers, rewrote 19th century history,
and how a 23rd century boy called Will
Starling uncovered the truth about everything.
I found a bunch of new Paperbacks by Jhon grisham for 50 cents a peice at a used book store. I just finished the rainmaker and now i'm reading the runaway jury. I was really impressed with all of the books i have read by him so far, considering the fact that i have no interest in the genre.
David Beckhams's Autobiography
Three books at the same time...
"Endymion" by Dan Simmons
"The lord of the rings: Fellowship of the ring" by JRR Tolkien
and "Monstruous regiment" by Terry Pratchett
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
and Graham Greene books on and off.
and sometimes this pretty cool miles davis autobio.
Atlantis Found, by Clive Cussler
I still have to read slight children books as I hate reading and Im trying to force my self to.
non-fiction:
The Eaters of the Dead- ever see The 13th Warrior it's based on this eye wittness acount of an arab who was conscripted to fight with the Vikings. I'm reading the Micheal Criton version although there other translations.
fiction:
THE FIRST CHRONICLES OF DRUSS THE LEGEND
If you like Robert E. Howard (Conan) you'll like David Gemmell. Druss has a very Conan like flavour without being a rip off.
The Sillmarillion
Once your finish LOTR this should be the next book u read.

I'm currently re-reading some of David Drakes books based in his Hammers Slammers universe.
Military sci/fi from the soldiers perspective. The Slammers are the best mercs in the universe and they kick ass on a major scale. Gritty, in your face action with loads of suspence thrown in. The author was in a tank company in Vietnam and he tells it like it really is. Scary, horrible but needing to be done.
His characters are very beleivable with flaws, fears, greed and all the crap we all carry with us. You'll never want to go to war in any century after reading one of his novels. Outstanding!
Test of the Twins- Margaret Weis and Tracey Hickman
Someone else was reading that too!! I got so excited...
Um, next, most likely, will be Anne Rice- Merrick. Its the book I read when I don't know what else to read.
After that- Storm Constantine- Scenting Hallowed Blood. God I love that book.
A clash of Kings (George R.R Martin) - Book 2 in the "A song of ice and fire" quadrilogy :)
Next will be the 3rd book (A storm of swords - steel and snow - Part 1) :smilie4:
Steel and snow?
I've got all three published: A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, (and when it's finally done! argh!) A Feast for Crows. There's supposedly two books after that...
I just want it to be published already. :(
:ninja:
"The Art of War" by Sun Tze and
"War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells
On the PocketPC, works like a charm.
:) recently read "Allen Carrs Easy Way To Stop Smoking"
havnt had a smoke in 3 weeks, must work ey! :)
I have four books. A game of thrones, A clash of Kings, Steel and Snow and Blood and Gold (they go in that order other the last two are supposed to be a single book - a clash of swords - split in two).Quote:

I checked on amazon.co.uk and they're do seem to two more to be release (which is annoying as I always seem to get books that haven't completed yet and I have to hang around for the rest - I did that with the "His Dark materials" trilogy, several of Robin Hobbs books and the wind and fire trilogy by William Nicholson :().
Still its good reading so far (I'm on the second now). The format is nice (switching between characters every chapter) and helps keep the tension up and the books are really well written. I hope its not too long await for the last books :(
Amazon link (link to all George R.R. Martin books).
Guess the publisher just wanted to make more money. I didn't know the UK publisher split the book up. ;)
:ninja:
When I will have a quiet place and more quiet time I am going to read
