what the hell is nic and that trick of urs doesnt work
I got this of suprnova and did a fresh install in being that this was the first Norton Product I installed on my operating system...I then installed Norton Anti-Virus Pro 2004 followed by Norton SystemWorks Pro 2003 and lastly Norton Ghost 2003...All work fine and I can access the Live-Update no problem..I read somewhere else that the live update interferes with existing installations of Nortons Live Update on your computer
Edit: I also got Live-update to the year 2116

This thread is about Norton Internet Security 2004. Not all those other products.

:P

@bawa@Klite_user, if you look back at this thread you will see that we have already said the exact same information as your last 2 posts. I fact the whole thread topic is about what you just said.

NAV2004 and NIS2004 both will shutdown when internet is on
Dude, NIS is a internet proggie...why are you pointing out that it doesn't work when the internet is on?
It doesn't work because of the serial.
By NIS are you referring to the firewall (blue globe icon) ?Quote:

And yes they both shutdown, even if you don't connect to the internet. Just wait a while and you will see that they just shutdown.
Correct! That's why I keep asking people to look for a keygen. I've been looking but I thought that if we worked as a team it could go faster. :unsure:Quote:

sry: NIC = NIS i typed it wrong.
you guys! i just did a security check on the symantec site, please try some others, its the only one i know
results:
Hacker Exposure Check OK
Analysis:
Your computer appears safe from most common intrusions. To learn more about the threats you are protected against, view a detailed analysis of your test results.
Windows Vulnerability Check OK
Analysis:
Your computer's identity is secure. However, this does not mean you are completely safe from all Internet security threats.
Trojan Horse Check OK
Analysis:
Your computer and data are not vulnerable to Trojan horse attacks. However, Trojan horse threats are constantly evolving, and unless you have a personal firewall and current virus protection, you're not completely safe. To learn more about threats you are protected against, view a detailed analysis of your test results.
Antivirus Product Check OK
Analysis:
Your computer is running virus protection software and you are at low risk to virus attacks. However, viruses are constantly evolving and you need to keep your virus protection current to stay safe.
Virus Protection Update Check NO
Analysis:
WARNING! Your virus protection is outdated and your computer is vulnerable to newly created viruses. Virus attacks can have serious consequences, including system damage and data loss.
Recommendation:
Download the latest updates from your virus protection provider. If your protection update subscription has expired, renew it immediately.
---even if the prog seems to close - it is still running
Maybe so but how can we change any settings or run liveupdate?
you cant but it just means that till you get a working version, you are protected
The Norton website will give those results even if you aren't running any firewalls or antivirus proggies. I'm running Corporate...I'm sure VB is running something.
None of this has to do with finding a keygen....or if someone got NIS 2004 to work properly....hence the title of the thread.
Good point -E-
I do have something running.
In fact, I setup a test install on another harddrive just for NIS2004. I always do it that way with untested software. That way my main setup stays intact. Once I have fully tested something I then put it into service. I then burn it to CD and add it to my shared folder. :)
Right, has anyone found a Norton Internet Security 2004 keygen yet?Quote:

i guess this post is dead, i think that we just have to wait for a crack to emerge.
Good luck everyone!
Yup, I can't find a keygen. I'll look again after a while. :(
any luck??? any update??>???
This post goes back to life. Now anyone got the crack/keygen/serial?
you know, everytime i check this topic when it has a new post i hope that someone found 'the crack' and posted a link or something.
well i guess not (yet).
i dont think there will be a crack, havent found one yet, im giving up the search.
but if anyone ever does find a crack and it works, dont forget to post it here! or pm me
What we need is a cdkey. The activation aligrothim is the same in nav as in nis. Just put in the phone challenge and it will work.Quote:

wow loads a posts since i posted, sorry, damn why cant i check more?
anyway, i got NIS from suprnova:
Norton Internet Security 2004.iso
225 MB (236.259.328 bytes)
*i found a trick that works:
-when you start your computer quickly press right click on the internet security icon in the system tray and press enable. your internet security now works as you wil start to get all sorts of prompts.
-you can also click settings in the antivirus menu that pops up when you right click anticirus ico.
-thats the only things usefull you can basicly use. your now protected but no liveupdate.
-dont open in any case the NIS with an icon of any sort or in the popup menu when you right click it --- or NIS closes
-after, you should take 30sec max --- never ever go with your mouse over the icons in the system tray --- or NIS closes
*i think the 1 cd-key (that seems to be the only one that works) is bad and symantec already knows about. maybe its because quite a few times this cd-key should have been used for installation (liveupdate confirming subscription)
*just keep your iso and wait for a keygen or crack, thats what i think
find anything better or better nfo then post plz
*The CRACK folder in the NIS iso is basicly the KEYGEN folder drom the NAV prof 2004 - pretty lame release if you ask me

No, we have a cdkey and the keygen for Antivirus 2004. We have done the phone challenge and it accepts it but it doesn't work. After reboot the taskbar icons disappear and you cannot use it.
As I have said before, I think we need a keygen for Internet Security 2004.
Yeah, Crack
I already said "What we need is a serial"
So the threads lives on...
Anyone try this? It sounds like BS to me but who knows....I don't feel up to trying it.
What amazes me is that the english version of NIS2004 is the only one that has this prob. The others don't req a CDKey...just the antivirus phone activation.
Well norton quits itself every minute or so and you can only reactivate it by double clicking ccapp.exe!
i just thought of something: if you first install NAV from its cd, if you have it, and use the crack for activation, then NAV should work. when you install NIS would you still need to enter a cd-key? (all that NIS is = firewall prof version)
Is this the same as Norton Antivirus 2004
no a crack is out & works for NAV, this is about getting NIS, Norton Internet Security, workingQuote:
