Probably a uTorrent instance for those two trackers, if you want to keep on using Vuze.

To be honest, huh?
Name one client that will rename torrent folders, rename files and relocate those files within new subfolders, while retaining the ability to seed to completion. Ya, I've read that you can do it in utorrent, but all the renaming has to be done outside the program. I tried it and it is a total pain in the ass compared to how easy it is to do from within Vuze.
The queue feature, while quite nice, I could learn to live without. The other advanced features I've grown to rely on, especially on sites that don't enforce any naming conventions.
I tried to switch over some torrents from Vuze to utorrent. There very first one mind you, had a folder name of 'compilations.' When I look at that one six months from now, I won't have a clue what it is.
I didn't bother after that. On the few torrents I've downloaded with utorrent, I've found that speeds are a lot slower in both directions.
I haven't tried them yet, only because of system resources.
People who say that Vuze is too resource intensive are wrong. Other than at startup, CPU usage is about the same. Memory usage is higher, but this shouldn't be a problem if you have a gig or more installed.
Since you just posted above me(anon),I got a Q 4 ya,can like the vuze mods be used for anything else other than cheating.Herd that they can spoof clients and stuff, thinking those who be whining about the vuze ban could just get your modded clients and set em to spoof the allowed clients but without the upload faking ish.
Could be a yes or no question.
You heard right.
Most trackers ban people who spoof their client. The tracker couldn't detect it, but it'd still be breaking the rules.Quote:

I love your comparisons :D
no.
I tried it 6 years ago though.. but I liked Bitcomet more at the time.
My main client is Vuze and I just use utorrent for what, waffles and ptp. I'm not going to upload anymore at these trackers and I'm seeding less than 30 torrents to keep my accounts active. Used to seed more than 300 torrents a week ago
Nein.
tried it once as azureus about 1-2 yrs back - way to hoggy with the mem *thumbs down*
No and I never have.
You actually can rename torrents in utorrent.Just gently double click the torrent as you would when renaming a file or folder in windows.
Some more votes please. I need at least 150.
Bump
Why?
As a Vuze user, this thread is of some concern for me.
@brightsid, for obvious reasons. It may serve a point in thefuturepresent.
I'm faithful Azureus / Vuze with classic UI for 3 years now. Have chosen it thanks to very comfortable (for me) interface, rich features, extensibility, good reputation on all trackers and Java platform (I'm Java developer myself).
Never encountered performance issues. I optimized its settings and jvm settings a little bit though. Plus 3gb of memory on my 24x7 comp is probably good enough. Running version 4.2.0.8 now, current session (no interruptions, no reloads, no reboots) continues for 107 days.
Despite that, my Vuze days are probably almost over. I'm still happy with Vuze, but I'm preparing to change my central machine with a new one and and configuring OpenSuse on it. Thought to install Vuze on Linux as well but with recent unfortunate developments I'm considering kTorrent and rTorrent with wTorrent interface.
never ues it
but i think that`s good client
Haved used it, but prefer utorrent all the way. There nothing that much wrong with vuze but i prefer the simple light weightness of utorrent.
Also i swear most trackers would reccoment utorrent over vuze.
No
bump
Some of the plugins for Vuze were really good.. it's a shame it's not allowed in some trackers anymore.
I like it because of the advanced features, but it is such a memory hog and slows down my whole system (Mac OS X). So I have switched to Transmission for most of the times.
why we should use azureus if there is utorrent
:noes:
i use occasionaly azureus 2.5.0.4 , imo the best version of vuze/azureus
Nope :)
i dont use, why try anything except utorrent when its the best.
i have used vuze at times just for experimenting, but its resourceful and comparatively slows down the whole process of downloading.
I didn't know if it still exists :)
I am using Vuze because it is fast and good features.
Too bad Vuze Inc. doesn't plan to support uTP in their client anytime soon. It does have "prefer UDP connections", but it's not the same.
I loved Azureus before to became Vuze. It was excellent torrent client with a lot of configuration options, very stable and user friendly.
Now Vuze is the opposite - useless and pointless file sharing software!
