You're a noob, use (antivirus program of the poster's choice here).

Its strong a efficent for sure, yet I find it nothing but hilarious that "Microsoft Security Essentials" exist. Instead of patching their OS, they make a separate security software, that is m$ allright. But its a legitimate strategy, keeping in mind that windows users are not even aware that viruses should be patched by OS manufacturer, not by norton, kaspersky or NOD.
I use Kaspersky Pure with trial reset, so great
best to use a multi purpose protection kit not just anti-virus. so far imo the best is KIS
avast, I have used the free version for many years and now I switched to the pro one, very good ....
I'm just using Microsoft Security Essentials for my Win7 machine.
I used to use Avira Antivir Free, and Nod32 (but that got too tiring to maintain).
NOD32 for sure but I switched to AVG afterwards. NOD is definately the best AV but there are some many options and setting that you must know how to configure right that I had to uninstall. AVG is not as good but it requires less maintenance.
most of you don;t know are talking about
just to finish this any AV is good if it's updated ..
i'm sure if i tell you antivirus you never heard of it...
Not entirely true because there are a couple real "dogs" out there and also several "good" ones that still give more false positives than you probably want to live with.
I've been using Avira lately after years of Nod - this after test driving almost everything else and all I have to say is that I am happy with the decision so far .
I also moved to Comodo firewall after long Agnitum Outpost loyalty ( again after testing most with a brief stop on Online Armor - which after a while started to adversely effect my system btw) and am likewise well pleased .
Best Antivirus Software is BitDefender
i use eset smart antyvirus is very good for me :)
Went with MSE and got a warning that I had a Trojan. Looked and it was a program my brother wrote in assembler on xor encryption, when I was teaching him a long time ago. So if you got an update yesterday, it was because of that. Funny that it got flagged because the code was simple and straight forward really.
+1 Avast
nod32 with something like pfsense or sygate .jmho ofc.
AVG Antivirus for me
AVG Latest or Nod32 2.7 are the best two - they are light on resources, never seen & run perfectly.
Kaspersky Internet Security ftw!!
Kaspersky AV, but if you want something thats free I would go with MSE, I like it because its "quiet", it wont bug you much and it does the job pretty good
Ive been running without AV for about 6 years now...no infections here.Use common sense and you won't "need" to use antivirus but if you feel more secure I would recommend NOD32.
You can never be too careful with warez files, though.
Very true, and that's why I also use Sandboxie. It isn't invulnerable, but it does help a lot.
avast! Internet Security
i like VIPER tbh.
use kaspersky, I think it's gotta be the only antivirus who can't be used with a fake key or a crack . I bought 1 year license and I'm very happy with it so far . It's a bit annoyng with the constant anouncer of programs opening and closing , but it's perfect .
i use three years eset internet security. This antyvirus is the best.
ESET NOD32 Antivirus
kaspersky
Nod32 or Symantec Endpoint Protection
Nod32 consumes less physical memory.
NOD is good. You can have a try!
nod32 is the best I've used so far
Quick Heal. I use it & it's best.
kaspersky internet security...
I have heard both Kaspersky and ESET Nod 32 are of the best out there.
nod32
Kaspersky
Kasper sky is good and Quick heal also ................
