Some people keep hunting invites for fairly undisguised sites, spending no less time (ScT, HDBits), and those sites happen to die just as well. So?

You could try rehosting that pack at another tracker, like PtN and allow the other users that haven't finished it to do so.

It was the biggest pack of CN. If you can, then try rehosting it in ptn..

Despite not agreeing with alot done in the past, its staff managed to get past that preconceived notion in recent times. Shame the site went down after such an effortful comeback.

Was going to suggest you rather send bijoy your IP and port, but he deleted the files, so it no longer matters. If you're able to seed it, I'd second Cabalo's suggestion of uploading it to PTN to help others in the same situation. :)

Do not make light of the suffering endured by the first two pictures by loping them in with the third. People no longer simply able to steal off a bt site be it uk-t, ScT , FTWR or CN aren't in any way , shape or form "refuges" errrr refugees .

The amount of "bad users" was pretty high over at CN as I remember it (haven't kept track of the development lately). I hope if users from CN decide to move over to iTS through this invite req-system that the bad will be filtered. iTS is probably one of few trackers that still has a good and trustworthy user base. At least that's the impression I get. But of course there are always some "bad" ones in every tracker.

Yeah I really hope we don't start seeing a bunch of people claiming they're "refugees", and have no other torrent sites, etc. We had that after uk-t, ftwr, and sct, and it did nothing but make me ashamed to be associated with such people. It's a torrent site closure, not the end of the world, and thankfully we've got plenty of trackers out there for all of the major content types.

PTP, Goem, and TC are all fairly easy to join. I'd start there if you're looking for a new place for movies. I've heard iTS and PTN are smaller and more similar to CN (PTN especially), but I'm not a member of either site so I can't comment on that fairly.

But the situation with UK-T was not really the same as with CN. Most users there were in fact only members at UK-T. They had nowhere to go (sounds pretty lame I know). "Old-schooler" or what you would call them. It's not like you can expect them to find their way to other trackers just like that.

Contrary to CN where I would say that 80% of the users have at least one or two other "good" sites where they can find the same content.

I didn't like the site at first, but it grew on me as it bacame better. Sad to see it go, but being a collector and all, I do have replacements. :lol:

Man, its sad to see this site go. Had a blast at that place. Uploaded a few good movies over there, had a blast learning to encode/encoding movies over there. It was pretty fun to shoot the shit with the staff/uploaders/encoders/everybody else in IRC and see what it was becoming. I thought the site was moving into the right track and would be the last one out of the big 3 movie trackers to go down. Well, all good things must come to an end, I guess.

/Waves to nikola1970 (who invited me to CN in the first place), t00z (who helped me out when I first started encoding, and long afterward :P ) and all the other great peeps I shot the shit with in IRC. Hope to chat with you guys in some other site's IRC chan, and make things entertaining

Well that's a bugger. Really like CN. Just goes to show how little the couple (I'll admit, lower level) CN staffers I chatted to in PM's on site, or IRC really knew huh? Was hearing all sorts of talk of big ideas and plans for the future. Either they were wrong, or this WAS that big plan for the future. :P

Anyways, RIP and all of that bullshit. I'm sure I'll see the peeps I interacted with elsewhere.

On-topic: Well, CN was always a nice/homely/calm place. It had its down sides such as stringent rules on off-site discussions about the site, but at the end of the day, when I brought up the browse page, it mostly had that obscure 90's movie I didn't want to download the HD rip of. Cluttered and disordered, sure, but the staff only added that stuff because they thought it would increase the activity of something they, as well as many people, loved.

So, at the end of the day, cheers to Killer/Supervisor/TheDog/Bumrocks (even though you joined the team only recently, as far as I know). Thanks for all the fishes.

Nothing to say , RIP CN , I'm Surprised / Shocked by the news but I'm more surprised by FST-Member's response ( which makes me happy actually :) ) , I only wished it could last a little longer , CN was a gr8 place to be .

Thanks for the gr8 efforts done by the Staff and members , I dunno if TheDevil will see this or not but buddy you did a gr8 job , CN turned out to be what you can call a Movies Tracker , dunno what were the circumstances of the closure but you did a good job , RIP CN .

Reminds of SQN a bit... Neat look and feel. Some interesting and unique features and what not... but struggled to stay afloat.
