ScottK, your eyes are not failing you. I get some measure of enjoyment from this though - I can imagine that waiting to be enabled does not provide the same amount of fun.

Okay, finally, a few minutes ago, an sdbits admin gave me +v in the channel and then I started talking to the system op of sdbits. Here's the conversation:

You went in expecting to be enabled, and basically told him to re-enable you and why he should.
You should have went in asking if it was possible to talk about being re-enabled, listened to what was said, and responded in kind without making demands or thinking you are right and they are wrong.
Nobody likes being told what to do, or being told that they were wrong in such a way that you did.

Even operating under the assumption that the admins/staff over there are douches (as indicated by an admin douche at a different SD site, i.e. hearsay); OlegL doesn't realize how much of an idiot he is. Now I'm not trying to be offensive here, but since he so openly displayed his approach to redemption, peer review should step in and inform him that his mind does not qualify to argue on his behalf. Most posters here seem to be talkative and show some intelligence in a few posts, but the staffer's response does indicate a poor level of maturity of mind and no intelligence. So the whole situation is a freaking joke. The only thing I've found interest in within all of this is pointing out the faults of the parties involved... because well I'm good at it, and it's fun.

I'm suprised they even gave him a chance to speak in irc about it. If i was them I would have been pissed about him making this whole thread about it. Usually someone just goes to irc or talks an unbanned friend who can forward a pm to staff for him. It doesn't make sense that you didn't deal with this in their irc support channel instead making the whole story public. Now the whole wide world of fst knows everything, including the goofy way you tried to plead your case in their support chan.

Because some of us know the back story. He wasn't banned for "no reason", he was banned for trying to bribe the HDBits staff to re-enable his account there in exchange for uploading some stuff to SDBits. Hence, leverage. Then he was banned again for making a dupe account, in both cases explicitly breaking their rules. Not to mention he's pissed off their staff team several times in the past and is periodically kicked and g-lined from their IRC servers.

Honestly dude, I've tried to give you advice in the past, but you just keep poking the fucking bear. Why you want to participate in a community that's actively mocking you and treating you like crap is beyond me, but you continue to make things worse for yourself as you participate more and more. You need to realize that you've worn the staff patience there incredibly thin. If I were you I'd just quiet down and count yourself lucky you haven't been permanently chucked from both sites. There are plenty of other places you can download SD content.

Still doesn't justify the " Go fuck yourself " .

I mean either simply ( if you are above doing you job properly ) kick him from IRC without a word or better give a short explanation of the reasoning behind the action and represent the site with some class (as I assume you were installed in that particular position to do ) .

Of course I could be wrong and maybe the various associated adolescents only require the technical ability to manage IRC and the wisdom necessary to hurl epithets and type the occasional lol.

Oh I agree the staff response left much to be desired, just merely thought I'd fill people in on the second half of the story since he's glossing over it nicely and attempting to make it look like he's done nothing wrong.

Oh I didn't mean he did nothing wrong - I can see from his whole approach that it was ALL wrong. Now I got the backstory too, which explains the staffer's response, but as IdolEyes said, it doesn't justify it. But you seem to agree, so no worries.

You can believe what you want, you were banned perfectly fairly. I was under the impression that it's explicitly stated in the SDBits rules that trying to use your account there to gain/regain access to HDBits will result in a swift ban (not to mention a hilarious idea). Then instead of trying to get it re-enabled the first time, you made a dupe account and got yourself and your inviter banned.

It matters how public this story was because you were attempting to shame them publicly into re-enabling you, which is never going to work well. Not to mention you neglected to mention the truth of your side of the story, and we're still unaware as to what this mystery "phrase" was that got you banned.
