Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
Not a fan of the new editor. How can we turn the WYSIWYG editor off?
Also when copy a block of text with multiple paragraphs it doesn't keep the paragraphs as a new line.
edit: Below is an example:
What if both parties are under the age of consent?
"Normal" sexual exploration
It is a common and normal part of sexual development for young people to explore and experiment in sexual interactions with their peers (Araji, 2004; Barbaree & Marshall, 2006; Eade, 2003). Appropriate sexual exploration is when there is mutual agreement between same- or similar-aged peers, it is non-coercive and all participants have the control to participate, continue or stop the behaviour. If two young people who are close in age engage in a sexual relationship and there is no evidence of a power imbalance or violence, the sexual interaction is not a legal issue (Barbaree & Marshall, 2006). The state jurisdictions that provide a legal defence when the sexual interaction is between two young people close in age (Western Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory) are attempting to find a balance that protects children and young people from adult sexual exploitation in a way that does not criminalise them for having sexual relationships with their peers.
Inappropriate and abusive sexual behaviour
Sexual interaction that is harmful and abusive between two young people under the legal age can be difficult to identify and determine. In situations where there is a clear age difference - for example a teenager and a young child - any sexual interaction is sexual abuse, as there is a definite power imbalance. However, when both parties are close in age, identifying whether the sexual activity is abusive is more complex. Ryan (1997) proposed three factors that must be considered in order to evaluate sexual interactions between two or more children: consent, equality and coercion. Reflecting on these three factors can help to clarify when behaviour is abusive.

You can change that under "Miscellaneous Options" in /profile.php?do=editoptions.
I tried switching to the basic editor but it made pages take even longer to load(?).

Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
test:
You can access this resource sheet in HTML or PDF (324 KB) format. You will need an Acrobat Reader which is free from the Adobe Systems Web site .
According to criminal law in Australia, the age of consent refers to the age a person is considered to be capable of legally giving informed consent to sexual acts with another person. When a person engages in sexual behaviour with someone below the age of consent, they are committing a criminal offence (child sexual abuse).
Why are there age of consent laws?
Age of consent laws are designed to protect children and young people from sexual exploitation and abuse. Such laws effectively determine that children and young people below the age of consent do not have the emotional maturity to consent to sexual activities. In relation to sexual abuse charges in each state and territory, the key difference between child sexual assault and adult sexual assault is that adult sexual assault is based on the absence of sexual consent, whereas in child sexual assault, the issue of consent is superseded by age of consent laws (Eade, 2003). An important distinction should be made between "willingness" and "consent". A child may be willing to engage in sexual behaviour; however, as they do not have the psychological capacity to give consent according to law, all sexual interactions between an adult and a person under the age of consent are considered abusive (Barbaree & Marshall, 2006).
edit: Paragraphs are still fucked and there's no paragraph tags in the post.

I haven't gone through all the fine details, but I do want to say thanks for the hard work. I'm sure the list of bugs will get shorter, and the site will be even nicer then.

Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
^^^ Bit exteme isn't it? lol.
What I hated about the mobile skin is that there's no "Last" last page.
-
Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
Wait, don't make a new account now.
Try clearing your cache here: chrome://settings/advanced and then on "clear browsing data".
Then, if it doesn't work, try logging in with your current one from another browser.

Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
i've already done that
LE: nvm, anon's link worked, thanks!

Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
xtaz: are you stuck on the Mobile style and can't switch back? Use the following link to temporarily set your forum skin to "FST" and then be able to permanently change it.
http://filesharingtalk.com/usercp.php?styleid=49
I tried to make my profile page less ugly once I realized you could customize it once again. Clicking on the "default" button sets the colors to a very nice combination of black, white and blue, but after clicking on "Save" these changes don't seem to be stored.

:glag: most of the things I, an amateur coder, write seem to work better than the stuff written by vb's "pros."

Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
Image scaling on the articles is not working either, tried on both FF and Chrome.
Fucking vB.
Same with pinning articles.

Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
Damn that NZB New Collections link.
Value '1' given for item model property 'sincelastvisit' is not valid on line 187 in /home/fileshare/public_html/vb/item.php

Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
I really like the new section icons!
If you are taking requests... I would LOVE to see some more smilies.
Thanks again for the hard work!!!
-
Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
The new section icons are absolutely hideous and don't mesh well with the theme at all :/

They could be transparent, since a white background looks awful on the Black Stealth theme, but other than that I think they're actually pretty good.
-
Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
They're transparent now, looking great on both skins, especially the dark one in my opinion.
About the smilies, it's harder to find them now, since the board's last update. But if you go to the advanced editor, you'll find them all there. They just don't show up on the quick reply window.
-
Re: Site update / New Editor / Mobile Style
I've been using the smilies that the board has had for (before I started here), I would like to have more choices.

I see a button to add smileys there, next to the font name, size and color dropdown boxes. I don't like this new JavaScript-based dialog to add them, but it's not an issue as I've memorized the "code" for my most commonly used ones.

Post those here, I don't see why they couldn't be added to the collections if they are not offensive.
Here's a good one: http://castfromsociety.com/images/sm...stsucksne8.gif http://castfromsociety.com/images/smilies/cfsa2mmk4.gif
The last one is particularly mature.
