He was also terrified of shamrock due to an unfortunate childhood incident in a meadow. He would fly into a terrible rage if a barman put a shamrock motif on the head of his pint of Guinness.

I do that too and I've never been near a meadow. Is that a field? What's the difference between a meadow and a field.
