I gave it a shot. Luckily, I did not have to invest in any real equipment due to software players, downloads, and shopping on Amazon for old-school glasses. Read about the other issues, and decided it was not worth the experience. Easier on a 40-ish inch television than on a 102" screen, but still not long-term worth it. And, I wanted to enjoy it... :sadwalk:
epic that is best one
Avatar is my favorite 3D movie. I really wish other movies would stop trying to use it as a gimmick and just let it increase your immersion.
Idol lets a lot of guys immerse during movies. :yup:
despicable me is a pretty god 3d movie
Avatar.
Couldn't see Gravity but i heard that it was technically great. So i'll stay on avatar.
Usually they do 3d in post prod just to get more money :-(
Avatar easily! Pure EPIC!
Must be Avatar.
I'm not a fan of 3D movies and I hated Avatar - same ol' story in a different suit.
I saved up and bought a Panasonic 3D projector for my room so I can actually watch my 3D Blu-rays on 150' screen. My favourite 3D's are Avatar and Gravity, also quite a lot of the Disney animated movies are great in 3D especially Tangled
If that is the Panasonic ae8000u projector, I am a bit envious (even if I would not use the 3D function often). Nice unit.
RE: 3D television, I just stumbled across this:
Quote:
The vast majority of new Panasonic TVs feature 3D, but the company has admitted that its investment in the format has not paid off.
Talking to TrustedReviews during CES 2013, Panasonic’s Senior Manager for TV Fabrice Estornel said that while the company “spent a lot of money investing in 3D”, the investment “hasn’t really worked”. Significant R&D and marketing spend has been piled into incorporating 3D into Panasonic’s TV range, “over 90 per cent” of which now offers 3D, since its first 3D TVs arrived in 2012.
Estornel says that Panasonic’s “customers are telling us not to bother” with 3D, that it is not a significant draw for new TV buyers.

Can this thread be moved to a section of the board where I would be tempted to look at it?
Was Avatar, but now I would say Gravity
What do you guys like so much about Gravity? I thought it was well done but not a lot of eye popping effects. I guess maybe that is the point, to where 3D seems seamless.
Avatar has to be the best fantastic film!!!
Dredd 3D
