I'm still using a very old 3.x version of newsleecher with astraweb. I want to like SABNZB+ but end up dropping it after a few hours of use.
Latest Alt.Binz & astra and still crying over the lost index sites.
What no love for NewsMan Pro 3? I use it with a MySQL back end, my ISPs Highwinds service, and an Astraweb block account for fills.

Server: TweakNews + block accounts from Astraweb, Highwinds and Readnews. TN is reliable but can be slow in peak hours. Thinking about getting an additional account from another Dutch provider.
Client: nzbget 10.2 - straight download + par-check + rename is all I want. Anything after 10.2 doesn't really work for me. Oh, and there's still "tin" for text-only groups (yeah, I still do that).

I've seen sickbeard & co. but it feels convoluted to me and I prefer a more simple setup without auto-everything.

I use SABNZBD for downloading. I use mainly Giganews atm as I get good stable dls and file storage AND a VPN. I am thnking of Astras new deal. I use Sickbeard for TV, I have CP/HP also. I have Virgin UK 60Mbps down and use SSL. I browse using Usenet crawler and I watch my media with XBMC.
formerly giganews but they suck bad now so tweaknews for completion and newshosting for speed.newsleecher 3.7 and newsleecher 4.0 due to different aspects of each program such as when downloading large groups nl3.7 hangs and has a fault upon restart compared to nl4.0 but nl3.7 allows copy and past of article headers where nl4.0 does not.both cracked but no supersearch.also use binsearch as thats the best.for posting i use camelpowerpost and YencPowerPostA&A11b.exe.as per servers the 2 i have now are a better price range than my giga/newshosting setup and way more completion.im pissed at giga as they leave dmca'ed files that HAVE BEEN REMOVED as downloadable but unusable files.so u download 90+ rars and pars then when u have all that space takin up ur hd u find that every file u thought was complete is "unrecognizable" and no matter how many times u par it and it says complete it isnt.this is a way for giga to say they have the retention while at the same time knee bending to the dmca as fast as they can-its a big assed scam by giga due to the dmca removing most of what they used to have .what good is retention if u have nothing to download and use.
Newsleecher , tweaknews. my isp is my only real problem as it now limits down per month.
Newsleecher too and astraweb unlimited since 4 years, works pretty well .
supernews, sabnzb, cp and sickbeard, does everything but watch the content for me ;)

forgot to add that using giga or news hosting im using around 7 to 9 connections and using tweak its around 7 to 9 connections as well.this tops my speeds at around 4.5 megs per second--means i get a normal dvd5 in about 30 minutes or less.Quote:
