Just to update this thread, we have got a new more powerful server with a faster connection and most importantly DDoS protection. Work has been going ahead to get the server up and running and hopefully it won't be too long before we at least get the IRC online followed a bit later by everything else.

So it's been what 4-5 months since Blackcats went down?
I'll hazard a sad guess that most of the older torrents in BCG is dead(0 peers) by now,
even if BCG does manage to come back up in the near future, it'll have a long and uphill struggle to match and re-upload the library of games(older and waay older) it had before going down.
just like the situation at Demonoid right now.
essentially BCG still remains the best gaming tracker, but only because there are no one else in the field, and its also the reason we can't let it go.
It is sad, unfortunate and almost a personal loss.
Any new updates Stoi....pjcnet?
will they save users? or will we have to re-register with reset stats?

As for latest. Still a few minor issues but we are getting there.

BCG is one of the few irreplaceable trackers out there
Seeds are running fine for BCG, so I guess the tracker is up and working fine, probably same with IRC too, now we're just waiting on the actual site to come back online so I can start uploading a ton of new Steam/GOG shit and donate.
We have just been ddossed again but the hosts mitigated it so I don't think it effected us.
As for donations. We are going to have to sort something else out, I don't want a ton of stolen credit card payments again like a month ago and they charge me for each one.
Looks like auto bitcoin payments if we can sort that out as the flattr account has been hacked as well, and that's gone.

Honestly i would love to know, how i could do it, as i dont think its possible, I have changed the email and deleted the old one now so that stopped it.
And they got the email as they hacked my flattr account, no idea how they managed that but they did, and yes i have done a full virus scan and my PC is clean, so guessing it was the heartbleed bug, but could have been anything.

Any updates on the site maintenance? Seeds seem to be working fine so the tracker looks okay, but the seeds #'s are dropping so the sooner you guy's get back online fully the better. I'll donate for sure, but not a lot of people are going to want to continue to donate to a tracker with so few seeds on every torrent or dead torrents. We need to get back online asap to build the seedbase back up before it's a done deal and the retention on all the older or obscure stuff is gone, and everything in general.
Just my opinion. And I though you guy's now had DDoS protection? So why did the DDoS attack even need to be mitigated or "possibly" effected you.
I just can't wait for the site to be properly back online and I hoped it would be by now, but there are still a couple of things that aren't quite fully working that are being addressed, I however agree that we really need to get things sorted ASAP now. We have got advanced DDoS protection, the attacks were automatically detected and mitigated. In one way it could be considered good news, but I would have much preferred not to be attacked again at all. I'd love to know what we've done to deserve yet another attack even before the site is properly available, after everything we've been through already this year. Well it shouldn't have really taken this long, but I'm pleased to say that it's finally looking like we'll be relaunching in a matter of days now as the main bugs have been resolved by the devs, there's just a few final checks and member HNRs are going to be cleared too!
