Well, there wasn't much of a choice back then...

There isn't much worth watching now. Funny how that works. Talent can only be spread so thin and then you get the AFL.
I miss theaters, and great movies too.
Yeah, but not the sticky shoes
Not much - buying a larger TV has helped with that.
not really, my home theater does the job really well
Been thinking about that. I've got large bay windows though, so getting the room dark enough is a bit of a problem.
I don't miss em. The money, the waiting, the advertising, all the other idiots in the theatre...
I was never a big theater buff. Dont really miss it. Also have a rather large 4k tv, so no.
only some of the classic cinemas that have been restored. love a good art deco cinema.
No, cause too many people talking, comfort from home much better.
I do, it is just the whole experience that has some magic to it. I hope enough people continue to go so that they stay in business. You can still offer them for home rentals, but give movie theaters a release a week or so ahead of time.
Considering the greater portion (some 99%) of the material being released these days for the theatres is trash, and the seats at the local kinoplex are uncomfortable, and an aroma of mould permeates the air, I don’t miss going to the cinemas.
As an example, Guillermo del Toro’s remake of the fantastic 1947 Nightmare Alley was only a waste of my time.
Movie theater is everything that can make me watch a movie. I hate doing it at home and visit movie theaters for this purpose.
Recently, I rarely find time for films at home and rather enthusiastically watched from the cinema, but that was about a couple of years ago, I'm waiting for my friends and wife to invite me there

Nope, too many people talking and on phones, haven't been to the theaters in forever now.
Nothing is worth watching in theaters anymore. Who knows if Avatar 2 will be cool enough with the 3D to make you go pay for $30 per person with inflation for the novelty.

Not any more now that they're open again and have huge reclining seats. I do miss the old popcorn prices. . . .
The only one I like are the dine-in ones. There's an AMC near here and they serve alcohol. Not bad choice just to meet up with buddies. Something to do but not going to make a habit of it otherwise...
During the pandemic I had some of the best theater experiences of my life, no noisy kids, no young couples giggling the whole time. But now they're full up again :(
not at all for me, to noisy and dual subs in my country.
Oh god the last time I have been in one was 5 years ago I miss them for sure!!
Been back to the theaters sine Spiderman No Way Home. Just recently viewed Avatar The Way of Water.
Not a single bit - VR home theater with a somewhat decent sound setup is superior in so many ways and yet affordable
I miss paying the 18$ for a drink in the VIP theaters. I only went for big action movies.
Hi anon, are you on snahp?
I am, do they have cheaper drinks?
can you get me an invite there please?
Unfortunately, the only ways to get invites are being either a donor or uploader, and I am neither.
can i pm you?
nope, no trousers needed in the homecinema =)
Makes it easier to hold your popcorn, nya?
It's called a cinema you dullards.
Never had any theaters in Canada. True story.
Snow weigh.
