To get rid of these ads above search where and how can I get to my host file.
Tell me about it. I don't know what I'm gonna do without jumping nodes/localizing,Quote:

accelerator etc....can't even use hash links through sigdat.
if you have XP use notepad and open "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC\HOSTS."Quote:

for sig2dat links you can install Sig2dat v3.11 and they should work fine
ive made a simple installer that makes using klr easier for noobs and lazy people alike. it doesnt take care of the ads (youll still have to do that manually), but its a quick and easy way to get what this thread is talking about. if anyone is interested in this just let me know and ill put the file up.
Still - it does not "make" klr work on Win 98 , right ?Quote:

I still can't remove the ads above search. Must not be entering it right or something. :(
Now that I can use K-dat and k-sig/sig2dat even though I have to go to folder, If I
just had accelerator now and an updated (255+) kazupernode list it just might be tolerable. But while I'm making a wish list.... Would be nice to change home/web page, (don't know if I'll get used to that ) will just make an effort not to go there not that important. What about the large ad to the right of p2p search? Is there a chance to get rid of it? I'm assuming since an earlier poster specifically mentioned removing ad above the ongoing search, adding files in host only removes that ad alone right? wish I could figure out what I'm doing wrong there. Sounds simple enough. But atleast no adware/spyware or ads in traffic, My kazaa next to theatre controls. My Kazaa...*bitter taste in mouth*
I noticed one day last week for a brief period there were 4mil+ online, tonight 2.75mil. Not good. :(
try using diet-k along with klr, gives you a few more options

When I installed kazaa to get the .exe Ad-aware picked up 50 objects, spybot like 6 or 8 that ad-aware didnt get. Done another scan (after deleting everything but kazaa .exe and running klr but did'nt pick up anything. But I have to scan every couple or few days I'm constantly picking stuff up here and there.
Could someone help me out on this:
How is this supposed to be entered?
127.0.0.1 ssa.kazaa.com #blocks search ads
127.0.0.1 ssm.kazaa.com #blocks channel directorys
I thought this was right but I guess not.
Example
# 127.0.0.1 #PRE #DOM:<domain> ssa.kazaa.com #blocks search ads
# 127.0.0.1 #PRE #DOM:<domain> ssm.kazaa.com #blocks channel directorys
you have to restart kazaa and/or reboot for it to workQuote:

ok here is a zip file with some add on tools:
included in it are:they all work with klr/kazaa260
- gspot21.zip
- avipreview_by_aj_026_alpha.zip
- dat_view_v1.4.zip
- KaZaA GUI Hacker_v15.zip (use with caution, can cause kazaa to crash)
- Kazaa Picture Preview.exe
- KDat.exe
- KSig.exe
- sig2dat_3_11_a_setup.exe
- Speed Up.exe
- SuperTrick - hosts.zip
- HostsTool.exe
- Help.zip (create a subfolder in your kazaa folder, named help, and unzip this into it)
EDIT: added Help.zip for kazaa's internal menus
One reason not to get Kazaa V2.6.....

I don't know what you mean. KLR changes Kazaa so that it doesn't depend on any extra DLLs, which includes but is not limited to cydoor, and gator. KLR will not delete these DLL files; you'll have to do it yourself if they're bothering you. :D

Guess it'll sound like I'm never satisfied, but...True I don't have any ads but is there anyway to substitute the "page can not be displayed" with anything?
Also like now in Kazaa desktop I'm using kazaa to browse forum but get an IE script error message everytime I change pages, any ideas how to stop this? But probally wont use this for forum much anyway because also can't copy/paste.

HKCU\Software\Kazaa

cos i really dont want to have to install any keys that i do not need :(
any ideas?
ok, im a little confused  Why is everybody switching back to KMD 2.6? I mean, after all I read in this thread it seems that KMD 2.6 has spyware that you gotta take out and it doesnt have any extentions. So why just stay with Kazaa Lite 2.34 or what ever the new version is out? I know that the Kazaa Like sites are running (Dont know why though) but that shouldnt stop Kazaa Lite from working with the network and all right? Or no? I'm still confused!
wait, I misstyped a word that changed the meaning of a sentence, REPOST!

OK this is just a little something i did whilsts playing around
ok this installs alot of the tools like avipreview, speedup and whatnot and a K++ 2.6
try it, or whatever lol
im working on putting in the registry settings next so that u dont K-lite installed already, but thats gonna be my work tonite :)
http://www.krayzzed.com/Klchat/kpp26rc1.exe
does it use the existing klr.exe ? (that does not work on Win 98 ... :( )
If someone has a reg file with the needed registry value, i could eaily make an installer, just saves me doing it manually
When you say Unlimited search mores, is this simlilar to Auto search more in K++? If so, how do you turn it on? Or does that just mean that we have to manually hit Search More in KLR but can do so forever. It's a PITA to have to keep clicking it manually all the time.Quote:
