You have got to remember that theres a lot of foreign non geeks on this board who would like to contribute as well.

You have to take better care of that Protein of yours, nurture it, talk to it, feed it etc. Thats what I do and I see my protein blooming :D

Seti is better in my eyes, nothing against it - both are useful...

I used long time Seti@home, but finally prefer Kazaa running ;) But, no Seti is nice...

A rack totally filled with stripped boards, with a single goal: Folding.
Every floor in this rack carries 2 boards.

On your custom GUI? What is your setup, and what GUI were you using? Style XP with some theme or something? Please explain more so we can help resolve this problem.

Im going to bookmark this thread, and check back daily to see if anyone else needs help.

i get like 3-4 WUs done in 24hrz but some times i give my cpu a little rest for an hour and start again&#33; ;)
(i have it on 24hrz)

i actually have one question when you right click on the icon in the taskbar and then go to STATUS>QUEUE INFO what is tht whats the que all about? i dont get tht part..

No idea, your using the graphical version. I use the command line only version, and I have it set in the background to run as a service. Thus if I need to stop it, all I have to do is use the Net commands in the command prompt, and I just have a link to the FAH log, and the info log to check my progress.

that&#39;s actaully bad for your CPU, if you let it cool down regularly after being at a constant heat then it damages the chip more than keeping it going at full tilt.

The reason is because the CPU expands and contracts as it heats up and cools respectively - if this happens too much the CPU is in danger of cracking. There is no reason not to run your CPU at full usage 100% of the time, it might actually extend its life.

its very easy to borg its like a .bat file and u just run the bat file and the cmd windows pops up does everything and the FAH starts up....the person wont even know tht u hav it running (runs with services)

theres a .cfg file as well which u config and put ur username and team number B)

u have to run 2 instances of FAH for it to fully take effect or it will only work 50% of cpu <_<

Wrong, if that was the case, it would be saying more than just 1 active processor in Bigdawg&#39;s profile.

He has so many WU&#39;s because he overclocked unstably, and was bouncing WU&#39;s instead of completing them, they finish one frame, and fail and send in the work to the server, this, a WU is done, but no points are recieved, and a new WU is downloaded.

somewhere in the hardwareworld post he said he put it on a couple of his school computers as well... :unsure:

why wouldn&#39;t gromacs be included if its so much faster?

Anyone able to give me a 5 step guide to &#39;getting&#39; gromacs.
I read that page but it makes no sense to me and isn&#39;t clear. Im not sure which .exe to make a shortcut as the one mentioned isn&#39;t in my folding@home folder ot startup folder.
